Very interesting intro to how chocolate originated, is grown and made. Great way to spend 60-90 minutes and right next to the star of Brussels, the Mannekin Pis

We did the chocolate making workshop and it was a really fun afternoon activity to do with the family. Working with chocolate and making all sorts of different kinds of chocolate.
After the workshop you can do a tour of the museum which is also very interesting and well done and covers the history of chocolate.

Great experience for kids, educative, nice staff. Great experience with the chocolate making process. Bought tikets online and the admission was quick.

Very confusing, all info from audio guide which was hard to follow along with the actual displays and the information itself was very boring. The place was very crowded on a day that was otherwise very quiet as many rooms had longer audio portions than others so people kept bunching up.
The only redeeming points of this trip were the chocolate tasting room and the demonstration from the chocolatier, but as English only speakers the French instructions were lost on us. No doubts that the demonstrator was a genuine and funny guy though, and the chocolate we ate was excellent.

Très agréablement surprise par ce musée qui est ludique et bien pensé. Le casier pour mettre ses affaires est un vrai plus. On déambule à notre rythme grâce à l'audioguide. Mon fils (15 ans) et moi-même avons appris tout un tas de choses tout en se divertissant. Le clou de la visite est la démonstration :-). Les prix de la boutiques sont accessibles.

Couldn’t say it’s good value for money as the tour was quite expensive for what it actually is. A showcase of not well maintained dusty interactive articles. The tour isn’t as comprehensive as I’d have expected, negligible reference to where the chocolate actually comes from. Perhaps this part of the chocolate story was purposely left out due to Belgiums colonial past, who knows. Either way this is an important part of history which can not be ignored.
The chocolate demonstration was a highlight, I must commend the talented tour guides ability to maintain conversations in multiple languages. The staff were great, however I believe the powers that be need to invest more in the upkeep of the place.

Bruxelles, Belgio, la patria della cioccolata dove ci sono un'infinità di negozi in ogni angolo della città, sinceramente mi sarei aspettato un museo diverso, più curato e meno "da bambini".
Bisogna prenotare online l'ingresso per saltare la coda, dopodichè si inizia un percorso dalla durata di circa un'ora dove viene raccontata la storia del cioccolato, si conclude con una dimostrazione sulle praline ed una piccola degustazione.
L'idea è carina.

Had er meer van voorgesteld. Best wel saai. Ging niet eens veel over chocola maar vooral over allerlei goden, tempels en vazen noem maar op.
Je kon wel lekker veel chocola proeven op ten duur dus dat was wel weer leuk!

Informative tour. The self guided audio tour was perfect for our 9 and 3 year olds, meaning we could take at our own pace.
