We made the tour with the tasting.
It was very fun, the fact of using the senses, including smell, and having access to quizzes on our tablets was very interesting.

During this Tour you will be introduced to beer through an audio guide. How beer is brewed, what is involved and what flavors there are. You point your tablet at a photo and get information about what is in the photo. This can be how beer is made, and quiz question, information about certain types of beer, etc.

All aspects of beer and beer brewing are covered. History, brewing process, cultural aspects. Guided tour by tablet. Finally, you can do a beer tasting and have your own beer label printed. Very nice museum. We have been there for 2 hours sweet.

Just off the market, the museum and bar is set in a lovely building, although most of Bruges has fantastic buildings! There are a lot of stairs to go up on the course of the visit. You are given a tablet and headphones as it's self guided. Point the camera at some of exhibits and you get a video explaining the exhibit or asking questions.
At the end of the tour you finish in the bar. You ticket will allow you 3 beers from the array of taps. You can buy beers too.

Had a great visit and is very interesting. Staff are friendly and helpful and the beer tasting afterwards was great. However, although I am a family orientated person, our visit was kind of spoilt by people letting their children run round and generally cause a nuisance. Shame as is a great place!

Wonderful experience, very modern and rich in information about the history of beers around the world, the types and how it makes. It is very well located and has different and creative experiences. We were especially welcomed by the owner with his wife, extremely kind and friendly. At the end there is the bar for tasting with a beautiful view to the market (centre of Bruges) I loved and recommend!

I wouldn’t recommend this for teenagers, or anyone who doesn’t have a huge interest in beer. I had expected the museum to include more of a history of beer related to Bruges, but it had very little about this. The information on the interactive guide was long winded and not engaging. It also wasn’t obvious which pictures were interactive, especially as they were slow to load. All these factors lead us to give up on the guide towards the end. The rooms were very hot and stuffy, and smelt of stale beer. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going on an hot day. Even my husband, who is a beer fanatic, found it disappointing.
