Great value for money

Definitively worth it if you have only limited time and want to see the Ria formosa. The guide was helpful, friendly and even provided binoculars for passengers

Great experience, fairly priced

The electric boat makes all the difference, can enjoy the tour peacefully - being able to hear the birds without loud engine noises. The captain was really knowledgeable and personable, and an all-round good host. Reasonably priced and everything is communicated upfront - lots of different tour options to suit your preferences.

Lovely place, worth a look for twitchers

Very quiet eco boat and good close up of the wildlife. The guide was nice and friendly and showed us some interesting crabs. Saw plenty of birds including storks, Caspian tern, Marsh Harrier (we think), Godwits, Redshank, Whimbrel, Kentish Plover.

Beautiful time in the lagoon, with a little pedagogy

Pleasant time on the electric boat through Ria Formosa for the ride "sunset". Some information was given in English by our Guide about the aquatic and terrestrial wildlife of the region.

Amazing lagoon with wildlife infront of your eyes

Calm and peaceful look at wildlife

Boat is wonderful - silent and calm. The guide is similar in that he's calm but very friendly, very informative, very funny. He told us the level of winds would reduce what we would normally see, so he managed our expectations but still found us enough birds and wildlife to make the trip a success. Highly recommended.

Peaceful but no wildlife

The guide was late and it finished 10 minutes early which was not impressive for a one hour tour. Minimal wildlife to see. The solar boat was quiet and peaceful but it seems like a lot of money for the experience.

Solar boat tour grew at guide

Terrific guide and I’d always wanted to see the Ria Formosa
Our guide did warn us that June was not a great time to see the bird life but he did a great job of pointing out the few birds that were there. I highly recommend using a solar boat for the quiet the smell and the environment

Relaxing, informative and fun

We went as a family of 4, sharing the solar boat with 2 other couples. Very comfortable and quiet.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He let my 7 year old sit at the front with him which he loved!
We didn't see that many birds, but as he said, wildlife cannot be controlled! The flamingos are the other side of the Ria De Formosa and would take more than an hour to get to.
But for an experience of going on a solar boat and getting out onto the water, seeing a few birds and crabs and learning about what else lives there - it was great. The storks nest stories are fascinating!
