We did the dolphin viewing and trip to 2 islands trip, and it was amazing! Carlos and Melinda were great guides, told us all about the bird species as well as the dolphins. We were lucky as we saw the dolphins straight away and got to spend a good half an hour watching them, such a great experience.
We were able to spend 1.5/2 hours on the 2 islands too - isla Deserta and isla Farol which were both lovely. We went swimming off isla Deserta, then to a great local restaurant on isla Farol, recommended by Carlos.
Overall a wonderful time, definitely a highlight to our trip. We got back from the tour around 14:30, so more like 6 hours, definitely good value for money.

Départ à 8h30 avec le super skipper Carlos. Nous embarquons dans l'espoir de pouvoir observer, ne serait-ce que de loin. Et nous n'avons pas été déçus , nous en avons vu tout plein et tout près. Carlos a pu nous expliquer les différentes espèces de dauphins présents dans cette région. Nous avons ensuite fait la visite des îles, mangé dans un restaurant de poissons conseillé par notre skipper pour finir par une visite de la lagune, de sa faune et de sa flore. Nous avons passé une super journée, les enfants ont adoré Carlos et sa gentillesse ainsi que le contenu de la visite ! Je conseille fortement

Our guide, Carlos, really made it very interesting to learn about the influence the tides and grasslands have on the fish and crabs and birds. We were able to see the change from low to high tide during the day. We had fun on a nice beach and a delicious lunch on the island at a restaurant.

Just come back from a great day out on the boat skippered by Carlos who was full of information about the area.
The tour was a little over 4 hours, we headed out to the nature reserve, saw lots of Fiddler Crabs and other animals, did some snorkeling and went to a decent restaurant on the little island.
Well worth going out for the day and doing this.

This was an excellent tour of the lagoon and out island. Lots of information on the animals/bird life/ nature of the lagoon and beyond. Stops at one of the deserted islands and the old fisherman's village (for lunch). The guide was very informative and had a great interaction with his passengers. This was on a small boat so not too many people which made it easy to interact and ask questions. Would highly recommend.

Amazing experience, we saw dolphins! The host was so nice & educated. Saw loads of different species of birds and their habitats. Also had lots of time to chill on the islands. It was great as a solo activity too.

Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um eine Massenabfertigung, die Betreuung ist sehr persönlich und die Atmosphäre war angenehm. In der Ferne waren Delphine zu sehen, also gab er Gas und wir waren plötzlich von einer Delphin-Schule umgeben. Das war atemberaubend. Die Erklärungen zu Flora und Fauna waren sehr interessant. Die Strände sind traumhaft, Badekleidung nicht vergessen! Der Tipp mit dem Restaurant war auch sehr gut. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Bine und André

We were hoping to have more opportunities to see wildlife and birds up close. The salt marshes are an interesting ecological area, with lots of wildlife and opportunities to learn about how they function. However, we didn't feel that we learned that much, and saw very few birds or other sea life. Binoculars would have made a difference, as sights were often far away. Driver did point out some wildlife, but from distances it was difficult to make them out. Time on Deserta Island was disappointing - not many birds in sight, and boardwalk needs some repair. Lovely beach on Farol Island. Seemed that there was a surplus of free time, when we expected more hand's on info to be provided. That being said, we enjoyed the time on the water and seeing the change in the tidal waters.

We are sorry to know that you didn´t find our tour informative. Our main goal as a company is to provide as much information as possible about Ria Formosa Natural Park and its wildlife. All our tours start with a 20 minute briefing explainning what you will be able to see, what wild life to expect and how Ria Formosa ecosistems work. On our boat we have at most 12 people so as to be able to provide as much informtion in a personal enviorment. If you check our reviews you will see that one of the aspects most clients focus on is the amount of details we provide. Are you sure your trip was with our company, we are quiet a few companies offering same tour but with a different service.
