Great trip! You are on a smaller boat close to the water so it can be difficult to see the dolphins and whales. However, one you see them it's pretty amazing. You sit on seats kind of like padded saddles but they are comfortable enough. Great guides and a fun time.

Very nice guides, especially Alexandra and Miguel!!! They are both totally in love with the work they are doing and it shows!!!! We got a lot of information from them and saw many dolphins 🥰

It was well organised and led by well informed people. They were quickly able to find whales and dolphins with good information and fast boats, but we may have been lucky. Ours was a good experience.

Unforgettable experience never seen so many dolphins together, including puppies. Very good guides and prepared, they spoke in English and Spanish but we understood everything. I'd like to do it again just to get a chance to see sperm whales again.

It was amazing! Fantastic tour management, so many information. We saw many dolphins. The wethaer was sunny. It was well organized.

Overall it was a fantastic experience, we could see different species of dolphins and even a newborn!
Miguel and Alexandra were simply fantastic, their passion for their work and the knowledge of the ocean made the tour even more memorable !

This tour was AMAZING!!!! We had such great guides, and we saw a very rare sighting of False Orca whales, and a huge pod of bottle nosed dolphins as well! Such a magical experience ✨️ Even if there was little sealife, the boat ride is still so beautiful 😍 11/10! We even saw a few rainbows! Def worth it. Thank you Terra Azul 🤍 most def won't forget this day!

Diana and Daniel were a great pair of guides/captain. They kept us in the false orca and bottlenose dolphin pods so we would all experience the joy. No whales, but nothing they could do about that.

When I did my research ( if talking about whales ) most migrate through in May ( the big ones like the blue and fin whales) apparently sperm whales can be sighted all year. Bear in mind you may not see any. You will most likely see dolphins though . There are loads of native flowers which bloom in the summer , which in the uk we would class as expensive ones from the florist eg birds of paradise . If you google best time to see whales in Azores it will give you some ideas

As stated on their TripAdvisor page, hotel pickup and drop-off are offered, but I'm not sure they would transport to and from Ponta Delgada, as it's a fair distance from Vila Franca do Campo. They have a hotel list on the checkout page when you book the tour. Your best bet is to call them directly or send them a message via their website.

Does this tour start snd finish in Ponta Delgada only? Does this your include snorkeling time at Princess Islet or just a drive around? Thank you

When we booked in May this year we started and finished from the Marian pints Delgada . We then did a circular route around the outside of the islet . We did not snorkel. Sea Colors offer an opportunity to snorkel with dolphins ( we went on another trip with them ) although it was a very choppy day on that trip so it wasn’t possible. Be aware on any of the boat trips that it is far from a certainty you will see a whale , although you will almost certainly see dolphins. The whales are mostly migrating through and stay underwater for up to 45 mins and whilst this may sound silly / obvious , when you go out in the rib boats you realise how diff it is to spot them. We were unlucky with terra azul ( but did see striped and bottle nosed dolphins as per pics posted ) and with sea Color’s we were lucky to see a blue whale for a few seconds . Don’t expect to get any pictures of whales bursting up into the air etc ( you would have to be extremely lucky ) the trips and the excitement of the possibility of spotting a whale is just as enjoyable though !!
