Our guide Renan was very energetic and informative .
He also emailed me a reminder a night before which I thought was awesome.
Coimbra was indeed a great city. We only had a quick stop over at Coimbra for 4 hours but was too short . At least a full day would be better to walk around the city which our guide Renan had pointed out to us . Overall it was great :)))

Renan was a fantastic guide -- so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the sights, artwork, and especially the history. We couldn't have asked for a better guide or more interesting afternoon. He is such a wealth of knowledge and his enthusiasm is contagious. I highly recommend Renan's tour of the University and city of Coimbra!

Our walking tour of the University and old Coimbra with Renan was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. His knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious, and his English language skills were excellent. Our tour encompassed a thousand years of Portuguese history, and where it intersected, European and World history, as we walked the campus, toured the Joanina library (Renan handled the tickets) and strolled down into Old Town. This is an easy decision - book this tour while in Coimbra!

Renan is very knowledgeable and has a great passion for the sites. We learned a lot and felt comfortable returning the next day to explore additional places on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend.

Sophia knowledge of the life of a student at Coimbra meant that she was very connected to the history that she was sharing and had insight into the student way of life at Coimbra.

Philipe lives i n Coimbra and went to college at the University. He lives and breathes Coimbra! He is very knowledgable about its history and traditions, and he enthusiastically delivers a great tour to show it all to you. We really enjoyed both Phillipe and his tour!

This tour with Renan was AMAZING!! He not only knows history, he is passionate about it. His enthusiasm gave me more energy at the end of the tour than what I had at the beginning. Besides Renan’s vast knowledge, he frequently made sure that the pace was comfortable for me. I highly recommend this tour.
