Dear Mark, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review for our tour. We receive this news with great sadness and are not happy that you did not enjoy your time on your tour. We always try to do our best to exceed our guests expectations and when we fail in our mission we try to learn from our mistakes. We have taken note of the time spent inside the church and will be reducing the duration of that section of the tour. That being said, I would like to respectfully address some of your comments regarding the structure of the tour. The meeting point is located in the Chiado neighbourhood, at the heart of the historical city, meaning we begin the tour in an area full of historical sites and points of interest. The location is walking distance from most hotels in the historic area, and is located not far from the Baixa Chiado metro station. I would not consider it to be an obscure location. In addition to that, prior to the tour we send all our guests additional details for the meeting point, which includes a photograph of the meeting location, it's google maps link, a photograph of the guide and his phone number. I was able to confirm with your guide that on this tour the group completed the full itinerary which includes important historic locations such as: Largo do Carmo, The Santa Justa Elevator, Praça do Comércio, Rossio Square, Rua Augusta, Saint Dominic's Square (location of the Jewish Massacre) and much more. Lastly, regarding the church of Saint Roque, we understand and respect that you were not interested in the church. The reason, we include it in our visits is because it is one of the most important historical churches in the city, as well as one of the oldest. It survived the 1755 earthquake, and as stood since the 16th century. It was home to the first Jesuit Mission in Portugal and throughout the centuries it was enriched with successive renovations which originated in the chapel of Saint John the Baptist, considered to be one of the most beautiful and expensive chapels built in Europe. I would like to thank you again for your review, and we sincerely hope that despite the fact that you feel you cannot recommend it to others, that you will join us again and give us an opportunity to show you our city. I agree that 1 hour inside the church is too long. This is because we have planed for the visit to the church to last between 10 to 15 min maximum, for a city tour of 3 hours. Sometimes the group might ask more complex questions which might somewhat extend the visit.
