Evora private cork factory and wine tasting tour

Our tour guide was excellent, professional, knowledgeable and on time.
For the cost of this private tour the extra fees for entry to some of the sites should have been included. Overall the cost was a bit over priced.
The private cork factory tour was excellent. We learned a lot about the cork harvest and manufacturing process.
The wine tour and tasting turned into a semi private tour in dual languages which took away from our experience. We were not allowed entry into the wine making building and could not see the process of making wine, which was disappointing.
The horse carriage museum was terrific.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. We were extremely sad to receive your remarks… and rating. We had never had a 3 star review… and we really expected not to have one. Regarding your comments: Daniela thanks your compliments - she works as hard as everyone else in the company to provide meaningful experiences. Concerning entrance tickets: as stated in the product description - all not included and fully optional. Several clients do not wish to visit monuments inside so for us it makes little sense to have it included increasing the final price. The amount paid by you - is not even close to the amount received by the company you’ve just negatively reviewed. Quite unfair but then again it was your option to book through a middle-men. The wine estate does not offer private tours nor do we mention it’s a private tour: you had one couple joining in. Also they’ve stated the cellar was included so we’re a bit unsure of what has indeed happened during your experience. Either way thank you again for taking the time to review and rate. We’ve learned a lot from it and from what to expect regarding our guests. Not always the cover matches the book. We hope you’ve had a safe flight back home and that you’ve enjoyed our lovely country. Fantastic day trip to Évora and beyond!

The cork factory was surprisingly interesting and the town of Évora was adorable. The Chapel of Bones is extra (only 5€, but worth it) and you’re on your own for lunch. We picked Tragos E Condutos and had a fabulous meal (get the black pork!). To top it all off, the winery was equally awesome and included a tour of the winery’s carriage museum. It may sound boring, but (again) it was surprisingly cool. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and best of all, our tour ended up being private because no one else signed up. Definitely recommend!

The perfect day trip from Lisbon

Our guide Flavio was chill, never rushed us, always made himself clear on when and where to meet. The Bone Chapel is very stirring, unsettling, and unforgettable. Cork museum was unique and educational. Evora was a storybook town on the hill. A couple of hours drive each way. Great way to spend the day.

Dear Greg & friends Thank you so much for your kind review and taking the time to write it Alentejo is one of our favorite regions in the country and we’re happy to learn you had a great experience Evora is quite unique in its historical overlays and monuments whereas the cork factory and wine tastings bring us a bit closer to some of the special features of the region Hope you may return perhaps for another tour and recommend is to your friends Enjoy Barcelona ! Wine Lovers tour

I stay about 3 miles outside of Evora, Portugal every year during the month of April. Qinta de Cano. The wines are fantastic and so reasonable. I bring as many wines home as possible each year. I have learned to love Port. Few realize the quality of Portugal wines because they export so little....they drink it all because so little is produced each year.
