From the moment we met Rodrigo, we knew we were in for a special day. More than just a guide, he felt like a friend—easygoing, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the hidden gems of Setúbal’s wine countryside.
Our journey took us through stunning landscapes, where rolling vineyards met the Atlantic breeze. Rodrigo curated a perfect balance of history, culture, and indulgence, making each stop feel intimate and unrushed. The wine tastings were exceptional, featuring unique local varieties we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Paired with delicious regional food, it was a true sensory delight.

Private tours are great! Paula, our sommelier, told us a lot about wines and their history here in Portugal. Great experience if you’re interested in wines. The patience, the explanation and all the questions were asked…. Amazing. Paula is a very nice lady with such a great knowledge and love for the Portuguese wines. We will certainly book her again for our next trip!

We had an amazing evening with Andrè, who went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. He is so knowledgeable, kind, interesting, and fun!
We learned a lot about Portuguese history and culture, all while enjoying delicious bites from one of Andre’s favorite local restaurants. We enjoyed traditional sausage cooked at the table, gorgeous olives and cheeses, breads, and other classic, regional delicacies. We drank local wine, loved dining on the beautiful patio and listening to traditional singing from fellow patrons, and generally felt wrapped in the joyful heart and soul of Portugal.
Sharing an evening with André was one of the highlights of our entire trip. He accepted our last-minute booking, and upon learning I needed to eat gluten free (a tall order in Portugal), he went all the way across town to the one gluten-free bakery to ensure that I, too, could enjoy a traditional Portuguese dessert—a flaky pastry filled with custard. It was so thoughtful of him and emblematic of the type of care he puts into every guest’s experience. Please book your trip with André—he is an outstanding guide and we give him our highest recommendation!

We had a wonderful time with David. He took us to several spots where the food and wine were excellent. He also shared his extensive knowledge of the city and history with us along the way, as well as a few "don't bother VS definitely check it out" tourist recommendations.
He was also willing to tailor the tour to meet our dietary restrictions, which was very much appreciated.
Definitely would recommend WithLocals and especially David to fellow travelers.

Very relaxed and informative trip to one winery and one cooperative wine center. Lunch at a small local restaurant. This gave me an idea of how people live their lives in this area.

The bites and drinks tour with David was a perfect experience to kick off our first night in Lisbon! He was knowledgeable and kind and took us to authentic locations in the city for great food and drinks!

André is awesome! He was accommodating of our food preferences and provided so many great tidbits and interesting details not only about the food we were tasting but also about the history of Lisbon. We truly enjoyed ourselves and couldn’t have had a better time. If you get the chance to tour Lisbon with André, I highly recommend any tour he is hosting!

Change your schedule to go to this event! You won't be disappointed. We just had an amazing time with Luis. The whole experience was so fun. Luis is an absolute joy to be with for the evening. The food is excellent. The conversation is excellent. The knowledge Luis imparts to you is excellent. This was a top highlight (if not the #1) for my family.

What an amazing time our group had with Chef Luis! The space was inviting, the meal was delicious, and the conversation was great. Chef Luis has a deep knowledge of Portuguese history and connects it with the food and wine that is paired throughout the evening. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who visits Lisbon. Don’t miss out on this unique experience! Thank you Chef Luis - we’ll be sure to visit again!!

If Lisbon wasn’t wonderful enough, Camila and her tour made it so much more! We went to so many delicious and put of the way places that made the experience special.

I’m not sure, I’d guess 2 guides could do the job...we went as four which was perfect. We could ask any question, and it was all very informal and charming...
