Bait and switch. Terrible UNFRIENDLY tour guide.
1) This tour was terrible because the first stop was a beach town at 9 AM for ice cream where most businesses were closed. This was opposite of this published schedule. I asked myself, why are we even here?
2) The tour guide, Leonor was more interested in chatting with the bus driver rather than engaging with a tourists on the bus. She seemed almost irritated that someone could “bother” her with a question. I’ve been on TripAdvisor tours in other countries, which have been fantastic. This tour doesn’t measure up.
3) This tour consist of mostly pick ups and drop offs. With the exception of the palace tickets, this is something you could achieve with an Uber.
4) This tour is mostly UNGUIDED – NOT AS ADVERTISED: here’s what they wrote: “Our guide shall accompany you along the way, sharing stories and curiosities about the visited and seeing places.” THIS IS NOT THE CASE except for drop offs and pick ups.
With the exception of the palace tickets, this tour was a waste of money and a terrible experience.

First of all, we would like to clarify that sometimes the schedule of stops is altered due to the slots that are available to enter the Pena Palace, and it is not always possible to guarantee tickets in the morning.
Regarding the performance of our guide Leonor, we are currently analyzing what happened in order to find out what measures we can take to prevent this incident from happening again. All our guides have training and procedures to follow in order to guarantee a good customer experience, which is something we do not neglect.
We understand your frustration and again apologize that we were unable to live up to your expectations.

I would NOT recommend this tour. It's "BAIT AND SWITCH."
1) They switched the schedule. First stop (Cascais) was supposed to be the LAST afternoon stop. As a result, we were dropped off at 9:00 AM for ice cream in a beach town where most business were closed. I asked myself, "why are we even here?"
2) The tour guide, Leonor F. was more interested in chatting with the bus driver as we passed beautiful sites. She gave us minimal info as we entered town. She made almost LITTLE / NO EFFORT to engage with the tourists on the bus. Leonor seem irritated that a tourist would bother her with questions. I've been on other tours in other countries, and she was the absolute worse!
3) The entire "tour" consisted of Leonor doing mostly drop-off and pick-up. She was a terrible tour guide and did not "accompany anyone along the (entire) way, sharing stories and curiosities about the visited (and seen) places."
I would NOT book a tour with this company again. Low quality tour guide and bait and switch schedule. I might as well have taken an Uber. Except for the included palace tickets, this was a waste of money.

We took the day trip on 13.06.24.
The guides Luany and Hacine were very knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver, Diego, as well, was very attentive and careful (moreover, he listened to my meme references and was laughing with my friends and me xD, pity we didn't exchange with socials, he would be such a good friend). These people made the trip more interesting and we didn't get bored on the way. As for the points themselves, one must visit to understand how unique each spot is. I highly recommend Tugatrips for this day trip. Thank you, everyone who is involved ❤️

Our fabulous guide Diogo Martins took us through Lisbon city, to Cascais ( a beautiful seaside village), to the most western point in Europe and then for a brilliant tour of Sintra and Peña palace. Diogo timed the entries to the different areas well, gave brilliant recommendations for eateries etc and delivered a fascinating history of the palace. Definitely worth going, especially with a guide such as Diogo.

We went with our tour guide Francisco and our driver Arthur (King Arthur) and what a fantastic experience it was. Francisco was extremely knowledgeable and is an anthropologist! He gave us the history of Cascais, and ensured we saw the most amazing scenic views along our walking tour. Then, it was off to Sintra where we walked the tiny streets of the village and had an incredible lunch before heading up the mountain to the Pena Palace which far exceeded our expectations. This is truly a palace worth the hike! I would highly recommend this tour and Francisco and King Arthur during your trip to Portugal.

Our guide Diogo Martins was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and very personable Sintra is well worth visiting with its Penna Palace as is Cascais
We sadly had awful weather 😒 with rain on and off all day. If it had been a clear and sunny day the trip would have been perfect

Penna palace and the views from it were amazing. So glad we booked it through a guide rather than self-organising, it saved us from a very long queue. Sintra Cabo rock and Cascais were beautiful too, it was good to combine all these places into one coach trip , much easier that way.

They might. They had 3-4 buses take us to Sintra. I made two separate bookings for the same day. You may also whatsapp tugatrips and they can email you an invoice for your group. They are quite responsive.

No pickup. The meeting point at Mundial Hotel. Not very well organized, as there were six guides with hand written pieces of paper with the name of the participants, for around 50-100 people, but in the end no one was left out or not taken care of. It could be better

Is the 3 hours of touring the palacio da pena and 1.5 hours in Sintra enough time for us to go to Quinta da Regaleira separately and to still have lunch? We see other tours with 1.5 hours in both the palace and Quinta da Regaleira. We appreciate your honesty.
Also, if the tour arrives in Cascais around 2pm, we are considering taking separate transportation back to Porto to spend more time there. Is it easy to get back?

There is not enough time to separate and go to Quinta da Regaleira.
The Cascais part is at the end of the tour. So you can certainly go back on your own.
Cascais is about 45 minutes by car to Lisbon.
