Outstanding day with a fantastic tour guide (Igor). Great personality, knowledge of both history and details of each location. We were able to see Hell’s Mouth Cave, Caiscais, Cabo de Roca, Sintra, Pena Palace, all with enough time to view the sight, grab a quick bite, and just enough time to walk and explore. It was a lot to pack into a day, but he kept schedule and still saw more than we expected. Outstanding opportunity for those (like me) who only had a day to see as much as I could while visiting Lisbon, or would be perfect for initial sightseeing to see what you want to go back to and spend more time at. Highly recommend, and again, big thanks and recognition to our tour guide, Igor.

This is a mixed review. I did two tours with this company. My private 1/2 day tour with Igor was great. He’s attentive, passionate and loves being a tour guide. We saw the sights and stopped for the best custard tart in the city. Igor is great!
The day before I did the full day tour to Sintra. The guide was the equivalent of a bus driver, he drove us to the sights dropped us of and told us when to be back. No guidance of where the restrooms or restaurants were. The first stop everything was closed except for McDonalds. The next stop was at the village of Sintra, dropped us off told us when to be back on the bus! The first three restaurants had hours wait, I walked and walked, then finally found a place off the path, for lunch and a bathroom. Unless your a camel, request a tour guide with good reviews. Shockingly, he also made discrimination comments about the trans community and about America!
I wanted to say if you hate this job so much, do something else.

Igor is really knowledgeable and friendly. We felt well looked after as we visited the various places. Igor assisted everyone to buy the Pena palace tickets before we set off and this was extremely effective. When we arrived there were very long queues just to buy timed tickets and more queues to get in with a timed ticket - we skipped all of these. Even going around the palace was a slow moving queue. The queues were really bad and I think it would take a few hours to get in if you didn't go with a guide. Igor recommended a farm restaurant for lunch which everyone was happy to go along with - definitely a good decision. The food was great and included drinks(€25 each and well worth it). We went on a rainy day so we didn't see the best views but that didn't spoil our trip - what else would we be doing on a rainy day? We managed to see plenty of sights in good company, transported in a comfortable car and with a really lovely guide who was happy to answer all our questions. Highly recommended.

Gustav was a knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour! Setting off early and arriving at the Palace before lines formed was very worthwhile. Views at Cascais and Cabo da Roca were gorgeous.

The favourite part of my experience: the combination of history and nature. the road to Sintra took us to Cascais, a beautiful resort, with people basking in the sun on September 23, 2022. The modern hotels contrast with the impressive old fortress on the beach. Next we visit Boca do Inferno (Hell's Mouth), an impressive sight dug by the waves that reach a precipice. Then, Cabo da Roca - the most remote western part of Europe colliding with the Atlantic Ocean. Sintra is enjoyable for its several palaces in the town, its cuisine (not only Portuguese, but also Italian, and Greek, and so on). Then you can start to explore the ruins of the Moors Castle and, next, Pena Palace, the last residence of the Portuguese royal family: beautiful architecture, exquisite furniture, great sights around the palace (surrounded by forests). And one cannot overlook the contribution of the guide / driver to the success of this trip: Joao, always ready to help, always patient, providing plenty of information about each and every village and township on the road. A very rewarding experience, indeed.

Sintra is BUSY and whilst the morning was a rush it was worth getting there early. After seeing coaches full of tour groups I really appreciated the small group. Juan was a great guide, very knowledgable and was happy to adjust the day based on what worked for the group.

Gustavo was our tour guide and did an amazing job! It was my first tour that I've ever done, mostly because I am always nervous about being bored on a tour or not having enough free time to explore new places. This was a very pleasant introduction into guided tours -- we hit all of the most beautiful and significant places and were given a local's account of the history and importance of these sites, which was such a blessing. All of our questions were answered in great detail and with personal experience.
It was overall very fun, well-timed, and Gustavo helped to make sure all members of the group were accounted for and enjoying themselves. The car was spacious, air-conditioned, and fit 8 guests. Gustavo expertly navigated tough roads while always checking in on our comfort. He helped (with kindness and permission!) guests with mobility issues throughout the tour on difficult terrain and getting in and out of the car. I learned so much about Sintra, Cascais, and about Portugal in general through Gustavo, and I would really recommend this tour as well as him!

This tour was 8 hours and hope I am adding review under Go2Lisbon. Gustavo extremely knowledgeable helpful and attentive to all our needs ensuring time management allowed us not to feel rushed. 8 passengers with Guide was perfect size & never felt crowded in Van. A safe driver expertly taking us to many stops including lunch in Cascais with variety of restaurants. Plenty of time exploring the exteriors was very interesting the history etc. Easy to get lost on so many trails without a Guide. Thanks Gustavo for hotel pickups and enjoyable day abd tour. You are an outstanding Guide.

Excellent day out with a small group (6) in a very comfortable Car. climbing up to Pena Palace great sightseeing despite the patchy fog. It's a steep climb from the parking area so for older people, the shuttle bus (3 euros each) is recommended.
You can choose either the Palace interior + grounds or just the grounds and exterior. Unless you have a huge desire to see a Palace interior, would suggest skipping this as the line snaking back down the hill in the sun was very long and maybe a 2 hour wait.
Paid a small list to western most part of Europe land based continent and had a very nice lunch at a restaurant of the beach. From there to Caiscais, a quaint town on the coast for an exploration stop. Many ex-pats make this their home.
Overall a very good trip and much easier than making your own way there by bus or train. Only suggestion would be to allow more time in Sintra to explore

This was a really good tour and Antonio shared a lot of knowledge with us. He did a nice job balancing the formal tour with some free time at the stops. I’m thankful I went with the tour because we got to Peña Palace first thing in the morning and only waited 30 minutes. The later crowds had a wait hours long while we went off exploring more places throughout the day!

Our tour drove up to the gate - there is a shuttle available inside that takes you most of the way up. It is popular so there might be a wait - usually not too long though. It also is available for the return trip to the main entrance

Sorry I do not know where your hotel is, but the pick up points are listed and it is easy to find their distance from your hotel using Google Maps. Hope you enjoy the tour, we did.

What time are you usually back at the last drop of point in Lisbon? Is it 8 hours in total with pick up and drop off? I'm wondering because I have a flight to catch in the evening.

We did not get dropped back until 7pm. We were the last drop off at the Museo do Fado, so really it was more like 11 hours than 8.
