Jorge was the BEST tour guide. We did a private tour around Lisbon, Belem, and cristo rei. He was super knowledgeable, fun, and a great driver too. He took us to an incredible lunch place with local cuisine, taught us so much about the history of Lisbon and Portugal, and made us laugh along the way. We had an amazing time with Jorge and would happily take another tour with him again.

This was our firts tour with yellow cab. We didn’t know what to do with our girls, and the hotel recommended a city tour. We called them in the morning, and fortunately they had Tania, our guide, available for the tour that same day. Tania was amazing, her patience with our girls, made our day. She made sure to personalise not only to what we wanted, but the best way to do it with our girls. We wanted to have a nice lhnch, and Tania took us tk one of the best restaurants in Lisbon (we ended up gojng therr a few times during our vacation) her knowledge and simpathy were the hightllight of the tour itself. The guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable we had a really good time and learned a lot. We got to see all the city and it felt we were part of the experience and had lived in Portugal all our lives.

We had a wonderful time and got to know the city from the local perspective of our very knowledgeable guide Tiago. We had the pleasure of eating like the locals and visiting the more remote areas of Lisbon that are not so tourist-centric. Thank you very much for this lovely experience, Tiago.

In April 2019 we had a fantastic private tour that I arranged in advance with Yellow Cab Tours in Lisbon. There were four of us. We were on a cruise ship and our time in Lisbon was very limited: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. I thought that arranging a private tour would be the best way to experience the city in that short time span. After doing some web research, I contacted Yellow Cab Tours by email and Fabio responded immediately. He answered all of my questions and helped to arrange a custom itinerary for that fit our time slot. The total price was good. In fact, the per person price was roughly the same as the bus tour offered by the cruise line.
The driver met us as we came off the ship. He was holding a card with my name on it. He guided us into a large and clean mini-van, which by the way was not yellow (he explained that the yellow vehicles were for trips into the rough country). The driver was fantastic and exceeded all expectations. He was friendly and knowledgeable about Lisbon and its history, and he was helpful in so many different ways.
Our first stop was the Jerónimos Monastery in Belem. As soon as we arrived, our driver directed us into the chapel line, which allowed us to tour the chapel (which is free), while he stood in line to get our tickets for the cloisters. He then accompanied us through the cloisters, and his comments and stories really enhanced the overall experience. Next, he walked us over to the Pastéis de Belém for custard filled tarts, which was followed by a drive past the Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoverers.
We had expressed an interest in visiting the Fábrica Sant`Anna ceramic tile workshop and showroom. While we were in the monastery chapel, our driver had called ahead to make sure the showroom would be open late that day. That side trip was delightful and we wound up purchasing some decorative tiles. We then drove to a look out point for a wonderful view of Lisbon, and after that, he drove us to the downtown shopping area behind the Praça do Comércio for an hour of walking around and street shopping. Of course, he returned us to our ship with plenty of time to spare.
I cannot say enough good things about the driver and the tour.
