Beautiful sea trip, the Catamaran is comfortable and the duration is three hours.
Two outings a day, toilet on board. Drinks and snacks can be purchased on site.
Beautiful sea walk, we saw dolphins (from afar, because this species is not the most curious)
A stop for swimming is planned, and the boat poses to take pictures.
The budget is very reasonable (35 euros per adult) for the whole service.

Fantastic Crew, very informative on the mammals in the sea with a very informative booklet. Any wet areas they immediately cleaned up. We got to see two types of wales rarely seen.

Started at 10:30 hours, we saw dolphins in two locations, as we arrived early (20 minutes before they opened the doors) we stayed right where we wanted, in front, to catch the fresh and the wave (a little, but refreshing), after seeing the dolphins still had a beautiful diving under the Cape Girão and we came back in a peak. 5 star crew, it is a pity there were never snorkeling glasses - except if they bought - but we already knew that and we took ours.

Amazing- so relaxing - two pods of dolphins swimming so close you could have reached and touched them - crew respectful to the rules on time with pod .

The crew were welcoming and professional. Good safety briefing then off we went for the afternoon sailing. What a marvellous way to spend 3 hours, with team members explaining which dolphins or whales we might see. They also shared some traditional Christmas biscuits and liqueur. Amazing experience!

Highly recommended! Went out under full sail... without an engine. We saw dolphins and whales. The crew was super friendly and attentive. It was a real experience. OK... no orcas on this tour (we already had them with Born), but great as always!!!

Absolutely amazing and a must do. We purchased tickets from a street vendor and arrived 20 minutes early. We sat on the nets at the front of the catamaran and could see and feel the sea under us the entire journey. It was pleasant and comfortable and a lovely hot day. When we got there we got to see dolphins and pilot whales (the company has spotters on land to increase the chances of seeing them). On the way back you get a 10 minutes stop in a bay to swim. They let down ladders for you to get in or you can choose to jump in from a platform at the front. I went in whilst the rest of my family stayed on board. The water was 24°c at the end of October and it was lovely. Perfect for such a warm day of 25°c. It was then a short journey back to the harbour. Unloading was easy and the staff are all very helpful.

Omg what an experience, we saw whales and lots of dolphins just a few feet away and jumping out of the water. Crew were fantastic. When we were getting off there was a tip jar, I put some in but was embarrassed how few people did. Come on you meanies you had a great half day and it was so cheap.

A lovely boat ride, beautiful boat, and very nice, helpful crew. Unfortunately, no dolphins or whales, but you can’t have everything!

I think it depends on weather conditions and sightings of whales but we went straight out then went to capo Girao then close in back along to Funchal allowing us to view the city from the sea. We saw flying fish which were amazing,a large turtle and lots of pilot whales.

I've done a 'specific' dolphin spotting boat tour with my husband & am looking more for just a nice relaxing boat tour, around the coast, just to chill. Obviously seeing sea life is excellent but is this tour very focused on finding sealife or more about touring round, chilling & enjoying the water?

I really enjoyed this tour on the Catamaran, we did this tour in May. We could sit on the Trampolin without shoes if one liked. The main objective of the trip is to look for Whales and or Dolphins. But we also did a leisurely trip down the coast, I found it very relaxing.

From the marina in Funchal. You can buy tickets from the ticket booth near the boat. I think they leave at 10.30 and 15.00 but check with ticket sales.
