Marco and Maria sailed us around coast of Funchal toward the Southwestern edge of Madeira. We sipped their delicious Riesling and ate very heavy and yummy apps of the local food of the island. This was a terrific experience and a highlight for us during our 5 day stay. I highly recommend this experience to see the sun set beautifully over Madeira and catch the island lite up at night.

First off let me say that this might have been the best thing we did in Madeira. I surprised my wife with this tour for her birthday and it was spectacular.
Marco and his wife were incredible hosts and took us sailing west along the southern coast of Madeira past the city of Funchal to some breathtaking cliffs. They did an excellent job of balancing the "tour" portion of the experience as well as giving my wife and I private time to enjoy our food and the wine together. They served us three bottles of various Reislings, which is what they're known for. It was all super romantic, and I think any couple looking for a romantic experience in Madeira should do this.
I think the price for this is actually a bargain considering the length of time, food provided, and the fact that you get to take home the three bottles of wine after the tour. Marco and his wife are owners of the Terrabona Nature & Vineyards on the north end of Madeira, which they mentioned are currently closed as they're constructing a small hotel and expanding their facilities.
I strongly recommend doing this tour, and hopefully you get as good of weather as we did.

What a perfect way to end our stay in Madeira! Sunset cruise with Marco Noronha and Maria, gliding along the "Riviera" of Funchal's coast. Marco and Maria are consummate hosts, providing great wines, wonderfully tasty snacks and the most agreeable company imaginable. We had the best time imaginable--gentle waves, no rain, great musical background and a brilliant flash on the horizon as the sun sank into the Atlantic. The lights on the hills of Funchal are unforgettable.

Nature and wine tasting unforgettable experience. Marco sets up a picnic table on the promomtory near his vineyard and we taste three rieslings. He provides fantastic home made lunch. Three and a half hours bliss. He also collected us and returned us to Funchal hotel for $50. Good deal. Experience is $65 per head. Just do it! He's very knowledgeable about wine and grapes- naturally. Converting to organic.

Marco and Maria treated us like royalty - we had the most incredible evening. The beautiful boat, tasting three different exceptional wines, eating the most delicious local food in the sun!! We will never forget that evening, it was the most memorable wine tasting. If you’re thinking about booking this experience - do it!!!

Fantástica experiência de degustação vinícola, bem acompanhada por iguarias locais na calorosa companhia dos anfitriões na belíssima baía do Funchal, com um por do sol arrebatador, num ambiente relaxado e acolhedor.

A truly enchanting experience we will not forget! Marco and Maria were perfect hosts, we swam, we had some history and lots of great recommendations of places and some quite exquisite wine and food would highly recommend

It was very lovely meeting the couple host. The sailing was wonderful where we were allowed to sail by ourselves for a while. Wine tasting was chillier where the wines were great and homemade dishes super yummy. Would definitely recommend the activity, much more than what you pay for.

Marco and Maria welcomed us on to their beautiful yacht. We cruised around the bay took a swim then enjoyed delicious home made food and wine from their organic vineyard. Watching the sunset with a glass of their award winning Riesling was a special treat. Perfect
