We had an amazing time seeing the East side of Madeira with our driver Fabio. He was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to several places, all while avoiding the tourist crowds.

We had a marvellous time exploring Madeira with Fabio from Hit the Road Tours. Amazing nature and views, captivating stories, best food. I feel we have seen places which most tourists do not. Since then, I see Madeira differently. No doubts, we will be back. Thank you Fabio! Monika and Gary

From the moment Fabio picked us up, he was determined to give us the very best day he could. He made it feel like he was showing a group of his best friends all his favourite parts of the east.
He used a weather app very effectively to chase the sun and gave us an informative and entertaining commentary in perfect English.
We stopped at many beautiful viewpoints, a traditional A frame house which we could tour around ( instead of the more touristy ones in Santana), a rum factory to sample local rum, a poncha bar and a wonderful traditional restaurant for a delicious lunch.
We did a few off-road bits which were great fun but very safe.
We can’t recommend this tour enough-thank you for the best day Fabio!

Booked this company on the recommendation from a personal friend. Been on many Jeep tours so we do have a benchmark to judge by and these guys are very good. We booked the East tour and were so happy we promptly booked the West a couple of days later. I was impressed with their speed of response from messages we sent in response to our queries we raised.
Our guide, Fabio on both trips. a lovely guy, very knowledgeable and informative, excellent spoken English and took us on to some of the amazing views and places to visit that Madeira has to offer. His insight and recommendations on places to eat, drink, visit and avoid were extremely useful. We had a spell of unfortunate weather on the West tour but Fabio slightly changed the itinerary so that it did not spoil the trip.
I happily recommend using these guys

Fabio our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great source of information. He went out of his way to provide helpful information for the rest of our trip and the tour was comfortable and matched our energy levels. Overall it was very worthwhile.

The 4x4 tour with Victor was great. We saw so much over the day and he was always knowledgeable and helpful. Victor drove calmly and considerately which made the day relaxing for us. The Land Rover Discovery was an excellent vehicle for the trip.

Hugo had a good grip on the microclimate during our Jeeptour Madeira East. There was Plan B and even sunshine along the coast. Because of rain inland and my husband's walking difficulties, we skipped the Levada hike. The humor of Hugo and the many interesting stories about the country and people were worth the day trip (11:00 - 19:00). Thank you also for the funny Instagram videos! We would love to come back ... next time at sunset on Pico do Arieiro.

My tour guide, Fabio, was just as amazing as his reviews. He was very knowledgeable and taught me so much about his beautiful island, as well as introducing me to Madeiras local drink, Poncha!

A great day out. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the places visited and really appreciated missing the crowds. We enjoyed the day too much. We booked a second tour with the same guide to see the West of Madiera.
