There are two routes offered which cover both Porto and Gaia so you see lots of the city. Ear buds and guide in multiple languages are helpful to know what you're seeing. Unfortunately, not all listening stations work and a few only work off and on. It's an inexpensive way to cover a lot of ground and plan what else you'd like to see and do.

We only had 2 days in Porto so the Hop On Hop Off was perfect for us. The drivers were helpful and kind. We enjoyed the historic and the castle tours. The castles were not what we expected after visiting Sintra but the coastal drive was sooo worth it. The river boat ride is a must do.

La frecuencia de los autobuses amarillos es malísimas, hay que esperar más de una hora, cuando estas en la parada esperando ves pasar autobuses de otras empresas que pasan con mucha más frecuencia. Luego el mantenimiento de los mismos es nefasta, hay muchos intercomunicadores que no funcionan por lo que tiene que ir buscando por los asientos cuáles funcionan y cuáles no.

Pessimo! Tanto tempo perso...Siamo nel bus linea viola ma avremmo voluto prendere quella arancione...
Ne passa uno ogni ora e quando è arrivato L’autista ci ha avvisato che non funzionava l’audio guida e che potevamo prendere il bus successivo che sarebbe arrivato dopo 10 minuti e che però era l’altra linea! Ovviamente, per il successivo bisognerebbe attendere altra ora. Quindi siamo in quello viola... per non buttare altro tempo e altri soldi visto che non è possibile avere rimborso perché l’autista aveva già stampato i biglietti.
Consiglio il bus Rosso o blu, mentre aspettavamo ne sono passati 2 per ogni linea.

So much to do in this fantastic city. Great variety of food and drinks which are all quite reasonably priced. Will definitely go again and do more of the touristy things on offer. The river cruise taking in the bridges is really good.

Where to begin hop on hop off not indicated.
We waited at what we thought was a hop on point and busses rushed by w/ out stopping.
Needed to find particular starting point.
English audio guide vague re: location of specific sites.
Driver barreled through areas and did not stop.

This was great value for money. The bus tour was very good! Earphones didn’t work at every seat but we were able to move to seats that did. Boat trip was lovely and the port tasting was a really fab experience! Booking was easy and tickets were simple to use. Highly recommend!

Frequency of buses was lacking, shedules can be obtained by scanning a tiny QR code on their signs at the stop. This information was provided by an employee of one of the other hop on hop off companies, coincidentally the other companies has staff at stops to help guide, for this operator your only option was to ask questions to the driver of the bus when it arrived which could be an inconvenience if you needed to make decisions on what next before the bus arrives :(
Also take note buying tickets on Tripadvisor is more expensive as they only give you the more expensive options like 48hrs pass vs a 24 hr pass that is available if you but in your hotel or at a tourist office(plently of them thoughout the city)

We took the Yellow Bus Tour which included the River Cruise and the wine tasting. For the wine tasting, we hopped off the cruise which stopped on the opposite side to the Port Tour. We then crossed the bridge to the Calem wine centre. There are several tours during the day, and plenty of Port to try at the tasting session at the end of the guided tour. We purchased the 48hr ticket which was €30 euros for adults. Sorry for the delay in replying.

On the map, it show TWO river cruises…one is to the left of the Palacio da Bolsa and one says YB cruise departure point. They are about 2 blocks apart. Does anyone know which one is accurate?
Do people realize in October the Yellow Buses run 1.5 hours apart because they there is ONLY ONE BUS operating at a time. This was advised by a bus driver after we waited over one hour for our first bus. If you get off for a picture stop, you have to wait til your driver returns 1.5 hours later…NOT ACCEPTABLE…we didn’t get off til the end because of this.
