Great lesson

It was my first surf lesson, and I had the best time. The pickup and drop-off were easy and smooth. The location of the lessons was ideal for beginners - shallow waters with consistent small waves! I was able to catch many waves from the great instruction of our coach. The wet suit kept me very warm. Highly recommend to anyone considering

Do it! It was my first time and it was amazing!

10/10 would recommend. We were so well taken care of the whole time, picked up, got all the necessary gear, stretches and basics on the beach followed by plenty time in the water with an amazing teacher. He was able to explain this in a simple way and gave you feedback after every try. There was even a photographer taking pictures of us that we got access to afterwards.
Then they drove us back to the pick up point. Absolutely amazing!

Great teachers, vague logistics. Had a blast!

I've taken a few surf lessons as I traveled around the world, and the instruction here is the best I've received in a single class. Note to future tourists - they are most communicative through WhatsApp and you'll want to be proactive about reaching out to them. Similar to other tours in Portugal we've taken, they were a bit vague with the pickup point and so even though we arrived 10 minutes early we still couldn't find the tour van until we were five minutes late! But once we were able to reach out to them over Whatsapp it was all good. Funny thing is that they ran out of space in their tour bus so they called us an Uber instead. It worked out because we were able to stay and surf longer after class, and they dropped us off directly at our hotel instead of the original pickup point!

Had a Great Time- Good for All Levels

Had a great time! They drove us to the shop to get gear and then to the beach. Instructors got us moving quickly to maximize the time we had in the water. They paid attention to the different levels everyone was at and provided assistance accordingly. We went a bit earlier than the ticketed time b/c of the tides (to be expected), and they did let us know ahead of time. Katarina and "John" (apologies to that man, I do not know how to spell his actual name, Katarina said just call him John) were both lovely and made sure everyone was safe and had fun. It was my first time surfing and first time swimming in the ocean and I ended up getting a bit seasick and needed to sit down- both instructors were helpful in making sure I was okay and it was much appreciated.
Overall a great experience and good for all levels!

Wonderful initiation to surfing!

This was a wonderful experience! I initially planned to take part on one day, but after such a great first lesson i decided to book another session for the following morning. The instructors give excellent advice and guide you through the steps.
I would highly recommend this activity if you want to try surfing or even if you are in the intermediate level and wish to improve your skills.

Great experience!

Easy transfer to surflocation by van, friendly and experienced surfinstructors, access too good equipment (wetsuit and surfboard). Surfspot was perfect to learn the basics but also good for more experienced surfers. Highly recommended if you want to try surfing in Porto🙂.

Must have if you want to surf!

Great place, great people, great vibes! My daughter had 3 days surf lessons and it was awesome. She was so happy to surf in Matosinhos/Porto. If you want to start or continue your surf experience you should definitely go to Linha de Onda!
