I had such a fantastic time during The Art of Eating and Making Friends in Porto! João, our host, was the heart of the experience—charismatic, funny, and full of energy. He made everyone feel at ease from the start and kept the conversation lively throughout the evening. The way he introduced each dish and shared stories about Portuguese culture added a special touch. I highly recommend this experience and will definitely return the next time I’m in Porto!

The ambient of the house is very warm and cozy, as if we were at home, even though we’re not! The presentation was beautiful and the courses were as, if not even more, delighful than the ambient.

Joao is a fantastic host and chef! he knows how to welcome people in his beautiful and cozy apartment , overlooking Porto and by his experience on finding best local ingredients combined by native dishes of his native Brazil, makes the entire experience a must to go! on top of this, we meet other guests from around the world , loving to share food experiences and travel !

This is an amazing concept! You get to eat fantastic food with a lovely host. Joao really makes it feel like a cozy family dinner with the extra plus, the interesting and well made food! All nicely and homely presented.

It was an incredible experience among friends, from the entries to dessert, all of excellent quality, care and presentation.

It was a very pleasant experience. João is an excellent host, he welcomed us with details that made all the difference to dinner. Portuguese appetizers and own recipes were also served. Dinner had a mix of flavors from Pará with Portuguese memories and the dessert was divine. Your apartment is very cozy and I thought it was a great option to include on a trip to Porto.

Dinner was sensational! João Inácio is an incredible person, he added a lot of knowledge, talks about very interesting subjects, in addition to being very careful with food and concerned about the well-being of those he welcomes into his home. Impeccable food, very tasteful decoration, in short, more than perfect. I definitely recommend it and will repeat the experience!

Our journey began with appetizers that combined the delicate Portuguese flavours p with the brasilian dish, was a beautiful paradox: as fresh and light as a sea breeze, yet with a surprising kick that awakened our taste buds. As we savored each bite, Joao regaled us with tales of his travels and the inspirations behind his creations.
The main course was a spectacular display of cultural fusion. Imagine succulent Vatapá
Each mouthful was a symphony of flavors, a harmonious blend that transcended borders. As we indulged, fellow diners shared stories of their own culinary adventures, creating a vibrant tapestry of shared experiences.
But the highlight of the evening was the dessert – a pear drunk with port wine on a bed of vanilla ice cream with a touch of basil.
