My wife and I attended this class in late March and had the most amazing experience! George and Stam taught the class. They were fun, engaging, knowledgeable and relatable guys who taught us how to make a few Greek dishes. Afterwards they sat with us as we ate dinner( with an Acropolis view and a lovely sunset opposite it) and gave us many insights into Athens and life there as well as providing many options to continue to explore and enjoy the city! We highly recommend this to anyone interested in seeing and learning a bit more of Athens. Ideally do this on your first day there!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Stamatis is a wonderful chef and host. I am very grateful to him & his staff. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend this experience. We would have paid twice the amount knowing what we know now. If you visit Athens, please go cook with Stamtis and his crew. Oh, best tzatziki ever!!! But, that spinach pie (spanakopita) was to die for!!!

What a fantastic experience! From his expert instruction to his deft storytelling, peppered with history, regional references and mythology. Chef Stam knows how keep a group engaged AND on task! He’s funny and personable, assisted quite capably by Chef George, who proved equally endearing and skilled. In the end, we enjoyed a delicious Greek meal (that we made!) of tzatziki, Aegean salad, spinach pie, moussaka and milk pie, with a group of new friends, in the majestic shadows of the uplit Acropolis - and we learned so much about Greek cuisine. Looking forward to trying to recreate some of these dishes at home!☺️

Our class was so fun and our host made everything easy and made us feel like we could actually do this at home. We loved sharing a meal and cooking with some fellow travelers and would definitely do this again.

We had as a family of four...two adult children...a wonderful fun afternoon with our chef Stam.
Location was a gorgeous bright space. Stam was obviously passionate about his food and wanting to keep the group small so that everyone would get the most from the experience. Not only did we make A LOT of delicious food we learned a whole lot too.
When we had finished we retired to another nice space with lovely views to eat as much as we could of the food we prepared.
It was a fun evening and not only did Stam educate us in all things Greek food we had a good laugh with our fellow classmates too.
Would highly recommend this greek cooking class when visiting Athens.
Thanks Stam and good luck with the no doubt busy season ahead.

This was one of our favorite vacation activities while in Athens. Stam is an exceptional host and chef. He engaged the entire class in preparing the meal. He's fun and knowledgeable. The meal was DELICIOUS!

We wanted to take a cooking class at the beginning of our trip to help us understand the local cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the class. Fotis was great at not only explaining the dishes but also helpful cooking hints as to how ingredients can impact dishes and how you might make adjustments based on those ingredients.
The class was fun and we enjoyed eating what we cooked as we looked out onto the Parthenon from the rooftop restaurant.
All in all a great experience!

Great class with a great teacher! Stam was very patient and personable and had great knowledge to share. His love of the greek food culture really showed through and he put a lot of work into helping us create a huge multi-course meal of greek specialties.
We can't wait to try this at home. If you do this be sure to go hungry because there is a lot of good food. This was a highlight of our trip.

We love the idea of this activity . ..
but, my husband can't walk very well. He walks slowly and can't walk very far.
1. How far is the walk from the market area to the bakery site? Could we just take a taxi instead? 2. During this activity, would there be a chair available for him to sit for a while if he gets tired standing? 3. The site talks about being picked up at our hotel and also meeting at the market. Can you please be more specific as to how we will meet our hosts?
We hope we can find accommodations for these issues as we are really looking forward to this ADVENTURE. Thanks -- Jeannette

Hi, we would to make a reservation in November. In the description we read that the rooftop dinner will not take place when there is rain. Is there a space inside where we will have dinner or will the full tour be cancelled? Thank you in advance for your answer

Thank you very much for your interest. In case of rain dinner take place indoors. Cooking class takes place as long as the dinner but with no Acropolis views.
In that case we inform you in advance and if our guests they want to cancel for that reason we provide full refund in advance.

Not sure if every time the class cooks the same dishes.... but in our class we made spanakopita, which contained spinach and feta cheese, and may have included an egg? Don’t clearly remember. And the Greek salad was all vegetables with feta cheese. We also made tzatziki sauce, using yogurt, garlic and cucumber. We also had pita bread. The only meat was the sautéed chicken dish.
