Dem was exceptional. We started our day early at 8 am so we could cover most of the attractions before it started to rain (nature's decision, it never rained :))
Dem provided us with enough history behind each attraction, gave us sufficient time (although we overshot at the Acroplis Museum) to see every attraction ag our own pace.
As we are vegetarians he made sure to take us to the best Greek restaurant in the city where there were vegetarian options. The owner of the restaurant was so kind he even took us to the kitchen to show and explain what veggie dishes they had prepared. Food was excellent and the complimentary dessert that came as surprise was out of the world. We were so full with starters and main course we felt bad thar we couldn't finish the dessert but ofcourse we thoroughly enjoyed.
Our final stop at Temple of Poseidon was breathtaking. Dem also took us to a hidden lake. The drive was awesome. I wish we had time to stay until sunset but ofcourse it was our decision to start the tour early and it had to end.
The WarmPenguin tour operators were excellent! Can't thank them enough for re-scheduling our tour to a day early and for introducing us to the most wonderful guide Dem.

Fantastic private. Our driver knew so much about the city. Unfortunately it started raining very heavily so there were a couple of places we could not stop and get out. He was friendly and a very careful driver despite all the rain.

This was a perfectly laid out day trip that covered all major attractions in and around Athens. Best part of the trip was Acropolis and Acropolis Museum-we had one of the best professional guides Betty with us. Betty took time to explain every single detail and answered all of our questions (fun fact-my 10 year old had a lot of questions-she almost did a PhD on Greek Mythology!). There was a heavy downpour for a few minutes when we were up at the Acropolis. Betty knew exactly where we could stand to get shelter and still continue with the tour. We are extremely grateful for her company and education!
Our driver and guide Dimitri was super friendly and accommodating. We had picked the tour option with lunch. Dimitri made reservation for lunch at Gods Restaurant where we found several yummy vegetarian options (beware- their portions are HUGE). He also showed us the Olympic stadium, Temple of Zeus and drove us to temple of Poseidon in Cape Sunion in the afternoon. Temple of Poseidon is worth a visit-it's a beautiful and serene place. A full view of a double arch rainbow on our way back was cherry on top for a great day!
I have taken away 1 star from this review since I feel that our driver/guide Dimitri could be more knowledgeable on Greek history and mythology. In his hurry, he was about to skip the visit to Temple of Zeus and corrected the error after we pointed out that we wanted to visit that place and it was part of the itinerary.

Mario was an excellent guide with great attention to detail and super attentive, his knowledge was great and his stories made the trip special and kept us awake as we had arrived that same morning at 2am. We decided to add on a licensed tour guide to go into the sites with us. Eva spoke with passion and made the experience unforgettable. We would def recommend getting the licensed tour guide for the sites, worth every penny!

We had a wonderful full day tour of Athens and The Temple of Poseidon as well as a very enjoyable lunch. Our tour driver Telos was very knowledgeable and personable.
He let us set the pace of the tour which makes the private tour much more enjoyable than group tours that are schedule driven.

Loved it!
Mario was so kind and filled with tons of knowledge. We learned so much about the history and current culture. Mario shared his personal experiences and was incredibly engaging. We could not have asked for a better guide to take us around the city!

One of the best tours to book in Athens. We were picked up at our hotel and greeted by a young man, who treated us like royalty. We took us to all the major sites and explained in detail about the history of each location and important culture information that most don't know originated in Greece. Our tour guide "Dem" was outstanding and provided water, took us to great seafood lunch near Temple of Poseidon on the ocean and finished the tour at the Acropolis Museum, which one of many highlights. I highly recommend the tour and our tour guide Dem, if you are looking for a spectacular day of adventure.

This was by far the best way to see Athens in one day! My best friend and I had the pleasure of hanging out with Dem, our incredible tour guide, for the day. He was incredibly kind, genuine, knowledgeable, funny, and fun! His ability to provide the historical context surrounding each site made the tour more immersive and enticing. We would not have had as great of a tour any other way! We recommend him & this tour to anyone!

Really great. We had one full day in Athens, and we wanted to make the most of it. This was definitely the ticket. Dimitris, our driver, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing detailed knowledge of our trip, but also great recommendations for everything in the city (you were right about the Savvas gyros, Dimitris!). We spent more on the expert guide, Betty, who shepherded us through the city, the Acropolis, and the Acropolis Museum. She had decades of experience, and it shows. Her depth of knowledge and her ability to connect it to world history, world origin, art history, and more was truly enlightening. The pre-paid email was along the ocean. Simple fare, but super solid, fresh, and delicious. Think moussaka, ultra-fresh greek salad, fresh fish for extra, etc.

It’s just the transport. You need to buy the tickets at each attraction and a guide if it is needed. But of the attraction are self guided. The beautiful local lunch is included.

Hello - I am very interested in booking a tour with you for 6 people on 10/26/19; my only and biggest problem is, we are getting off our cruise ship that morning and would not be available for a tour until around 12-12:30. Would this work? I understand we would not be able to have a full 8 hour tour, but could we see enough in 6+ hours? Thanks!
