The tour and bus were great. Nice stops on the way, plenty of time to enjoy and experience Sounion. Trip guide was funny, but kept forgetting what he had told us, and referenced another group frequently. Seemed like perhaps he did too many back to back trips. Was also really into the Americans on the trip- they talked more about the US than Greece on the way back. Service/attention for other guests of different nationalities could have been better. Overall, not a huge issue for us, but could bother some people.

This was a fantastic trip. Our guide, Athina, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area in general and Temple of Poseidon in particular. The Temple of Poseidon is incredible, and I would highly recommend the sunset tour because the sunset is stunning. The site is pure magic. The two stops on the way were very nice as well. We were not prepared to swim, but we enjoyed the little beach cafe sbd it was nice to relax in such a pretty place. I am giving five stars because the guide and the experience were both wonderful, but I would caution that if you are the last group that is picked up (we did not decide this) the back of the minivan is absolute misery. It should either not be used at all, or only used for young children or adults of smaller stature. I had my knee pressed against the side of the minivan and my foot had to be turned caddywampus because there was something permanent under the seat in front of me. It was awful. My husband is 6'4" and Athina offered him a spot near her that had more leg room, thankfully, because he would have been a lot worse off than me, at 5'6". My daughter is about my height so she shared my misery. My son is just over 6' but had the center seat so plenty of legroom. The other seats looked to have plenty of legroom so I'm sure the other passengers were quite comfortable. So before you book, might be a good idea to ask what number pick up you are.

We enjoyed our tour a great deal! Our tour guide Athena was extremely knowledgeable. The sunset was beautiful and the temple itself is very cool to see up close. I will say that this tour is very long. The journey there has multiple stops and since the sunset is late in the summer, we waited around for a long time around the temple. Overall, a wonderful experience.

The views were good. They're rebuilding the temple, so don't expect to explore the inside. There are steep drops along the perimeter, so be careful.

We loved this half-day excursion to Cape Sounion. With just a short drive from Athens, you are transported to a stunning beach. Our guide, George was entertaining and informative. The view from Poseidon's temple is fantastic. We LOVED our yoga class with Angelo on the beach. We highly recommend this activity to round out your time in Athens.

Teddy was so entertaining and informative on the ride down to Sunion. Vassilis was an excellent driver! It started raining when we arrived at the temple, but Apollo came through for us and let the sun break through the clouds for beautiful sunset photos!

It was a very pleasant drive out to Cape Sounion and the Temple was very beautiful, an easy walk from the bus and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the things that we saw. Had time on the way home to stop at the beach although it was too cool to swim. It was nice to see some of the country side close to Athens. Easy pick up and drop off at our hotel.

Athena was awesome. She knows her history as of course she would since she is an archaeologist. Thank goodness for Alexander who drove as I’d still be searching for Poseidon’s Temple. I enjoyed the temple as not as crowded as the Acropolis and the sunset was amazing. Definitely would do this again. Thank you Alexander and Athena.

Our tour guide Gari and our driver Alex were great companions. Gary was knowledgeable & funny and showed us the important landmarks on the way to Cape Sunion and told us quite a lot about Greek mythology and history. Communication Wthrough messages & email was easy & impeccable. we did the tour during the day, i.e. without staying for the sunset. The temple of Poseidon is impressive. On the way back we stopped at a beach for lunch & rest. We recommend this trip. It's well worth it. Thank you Gari & Alex.

Gari, tour guide, is friendly, knowledgeable & has sense of humour. She told us the history of Poseidon, Athens & showed us important landmarks on the way to Cape Sunion. The tour minibus picked us up from the hotel nearby as road to our hotel is busy & small. Communication through messages & email & informed us pick up place. We stopped at a beach which has 2 restaurants for dinner & rest. The temple of Poseidon is impressive. Due to the clouds, we didn't have a chance to see Sunset but the trip is so good, we recommend this trip. It's well worth it. Thank you Gari & the team.

I’m concerned that the tour doesn’t pick up from our hotel - I’ve seen advise to contact the tour company, but how? I can’t find a way to message directly? Thanks!

If you simply message the tour and request pickup (through trip advisor), they will communicate & be able to pick u up at your hotel assuming your staying in central Athens. That is how we dealt with it, and they communicated that they would, and the time with us & picked us up at our hotel too. It was smooth!
Hi, if we would like to spend the morning at Lake Vouliagmeni would it be possible to be picked up from there during the tour stop off to join for the sunset tour?

If I were you, I would get in touch with the Viator help center. That’s the tour operator we bought this particular tour. They are quite helpful and are available round the clock.
As for me, we were picked up and dropped off at the entrance of our hotel. The tour operator will tell you if it is possible to be picked up somewhere else.
