Highly recommend the trip to Meteora. An unforgettable and enlightening experience with lots of interesting facts from our amazing host George. Took us to all the best view points followed by an amazing lunch at a Greek traditional restaurant .

This trip is an absolute must! The views in Meteora are breathtaking and one of a kind. I was concerned about the accessibility of the monasteries from online research, as I’m not the best in shape, but we had no problem with the stairs and saw all types of individuals making the climb (there are plenty of places to take a break if you need, but we did not). Nathan was a fantastic driver and did an amazing job at explaining the history and culture of Modern and Ancient Greece. The food at the restaurant Nathan brought us to was amazing as well, especially the land meat. We preferred to spend time listening to Nathan’s music on the drive home and he was very accommodating (also has a great playlist). We had so much fun together and made lifetime memories. Thank you, Nathan!

Our day trip to Meteora was amazing. Anothony was a very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions. We highly recommend this company and Anthony. We had great conversations with him both ways, which made the drive easy and enjoyable. Take this tour. You won’t regret it!

Anthony was punctual and he provided a seamless service. He was very obliging, courteous and knowledgeable. The trip to Meteora was very comfortable in an immaculate car. Meteora was an amazing place to see and I highly recommend this tour. Communication with the company was also great.

This trip ,well worth the drive.Ourdriver George was on time ,pleasant to talk.He answered every question, Ihad many questions. George was very knowledgeable about Greek history and about Greek life and culture. The restaurant he took us to was fabulous, excellent food and service.

We had an incredible day trip to Meteora and the monasteries! Nathan was a very friendly, knowledgeable, excellent driver/guide. We highly recommend this company and of course Nathan. We had great conversations with him both ways, which made the drive easy and enjoyable. Keep in mind there are a lot of steps to walk up/down to get to the monasteries so come prepared! Going by private car rather than the large tour buses allowed us to get to the monasteries and look around each just before they became overcrowded with the bus tourists. (Much more comfortable going with just your party too) Nathan was also very generous in offering to take our picture any time we asked. Take this tour. You won’t regret it!

Giorgos was an excellent guide and driver for the full day tour. The drive was beautiful and relaxing. Meteora was stunning and more beautiful than expectations! The local lunch was delicious Greek food. Giorgos was lovely company, calm, smart and well educated tour guide! Highly recommend Meteora! Greek countryside is worth the drive and the monasteries were breathtaking entwined with beautiful Greek history.

Today we went to Meteora , on a day trip from Athens . Anthony , our driver was knowledgeable, kind and we felt we were in great hands , within the first 30 minutes in the car with him ! The day was spectacular .. we visited several monasteries and all the guides that were chosen by a Crispy Local, to accompany us inside the monasteries , were wonderful . Anthony knew exactly where to stop to take breathtaking pictures and returned us to Athens before 7:00 pm.
The day was more than I dreamed it could be .
We look forward to returning next year , and chosing Crispy Local to accompany us on our next tour adventure !

From the moment we got picked up by our Tour guide Harry from Chrispy Local and set off for our Day Trip to Meteora it was already beginning to be a great start to our VIP Trip.
Harry was great, very friendly and informative along the way, making our journey both up and back a pleasant and memorable one.
Once arriving, and taking in the beauty of both the monasteries and the rock formations, they have been built on and those that surround, it was absolutely breathtaking and highly recommended and a must see.
For anyone visiting Athens or neighbouring cities put this on your bucket list as it won’t disappoint.

Good evening
There will be only two of us so that would be only us on the trip or would others be booked to go along with us?
There is a 7am and a 7;30am for 11/21/22 can I ask which one Geroge would be doing ?

If it’s private then it’s only you who is in your party. I believe George can do either time it’s just who they book for your guide. I would reach out and request George. Hope this helps:-)

How far in advance can I book this tour for 2 to the monasteries? We will be in athens June 2023

Will you pick my husband and I up from any hotel within athens? We were thinking of staying in the platka area. Thank you!

The trip is long 4 - 5 hours each way depending on traffic. We hired a private driver through Crispy Local Tours and that was ideal. We could comfortably nap both ways so were not exhausted from the drive. Giannis was extremely knowledgeable about the monasteries and took us to three of them, in addition to some lookouts. If you are looking for hassle-free travel from Athens to Meterora, I would strongly suggest Crispy Local. Also, even with the length of the trip, Meteora was amazing and completely worth it.
