It is a very long day, but it is well worth the time. Over 3 hours drive in the morning and another 3 hours in the evening.
The place is amazing. We saw incredible views and heard a lot of interesting facts about the place. Meteora is different from everything that I have seen so far. The monasteries are very interesting, but in my opinion, the tour is worth for the views alone.
Our guide was Mr George and he is very entertaining and easygoing. Aside from the story of the place, during the long ride, we talked about greek politics, culture, economy, and international relations. Don't miss the chance to get a deeper understanding of the culture.
Overall I recommend this tour 100%.
The stop at Thermopolis battle place in the way back is a bit disappointing, as aside from a monument, it is not like we imagine after watching the 300.

Had a fantastic time on this tour! Our guide was incredibly professional and charming, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly. George was attentive and very professional. The lunch at the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. And to top it all off, we had beautiful sunshine! Highly recommend!"

You do not want to miss this experience and seeing the wonders of Meteora. Even though it was a cold and rainy day, our guide made it an incredible experience and gave us a great historical background throughout our drive. Due to the weather, he took us through three different monasteries, each increasingly more exciting than the last.
Giorgos made sure we were comfortable on the entire trip. He gave us an explanation of where we would be going and the sites who would see. He also was great at giving us our own personal time to relax and enjoy the ride there and back.
The transportation was better than we could imagine. Giorgos also gave us many ideas to choose our lunch, which made it even a better experience. We eat at a local family own restaurant. They treated us so well,as if we were part of their community and family.
Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the wonderful sites and the professionalism of this company.

Incredible experience! Our driver Theo was exceptional. We enjoyed the car ride there having great conversation with him. He watched the weather moment by moment and planned the day in such a way that we would be able to experience it the best way possible in the event that the rain would come. We stopped for several great photo opportunities. Our last highlight was stopping for a wonderful lunch. Every aspect of the day was top notch!

Meteors is breathtaking and out of this world. We were lucky to have the opportunity to visit the place. Giorgio was accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and very patient. He communicates well in English and anticipates all our needs. He is a very good asset to your organization.

This was an awesome trip! George kept us entertained on the car ride. He never rushed us and has a great memory for details. If I mentioned something that I didn't get to see he would make it happen. The lunch stop was wonderful. I mentioned that I still hadn't had a gyro so after our tour which started at 7:30AM and went to 8:30pm. He dropped us off at a local restaurant that had excellent Gyros and made sure we knew our way back to the hotel. We had George as our driver for two days in Athens and he treated us like family.

95% of the trip was amazing. We had a wonderful time. Car was comfortable. Had great conversations with our driver. Meteora was amazing.
The one con is that the driver miscalculated his gas and we ended up coasting down a side road trying to find a gas station. At one point our driver left us in the car to see if he could get a container of gas from station on other side of a fence. My wife was terrified that we were about to get robbed or kidnapped. She was crying. Luckily the gas station opened a back gate for us and we were able to continue back to our hotel but it definitely impacted our trip. It cost us about 45 minutes and me trying to calm my wife down while he was gone (admittedly only a few minutes).
That just CANNOT happen.
I do think the driver was very sorry and embarrassed. Nice guy who made a mistake.
I am trying to only remember the perfect day up to that point my wife not so much

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and is great that you enjoyed most of the trip and had an amazing time at Meteora. Greece is a very safe country and our driver would never act in a way that you would be in danger. As he was a newcomer and used the specific car for the first time , from a combination of miscalculation and anxiety he had that result. We are very sorry for the incident and we will make sure that will never happen again. All the best!

Meteora is such an incredible beautiful place! Harry picked my wife and I up from our Athens hotel. We stopped along the way for a bathroom break and a short history lesson. Once arriving in Meteora we went inside three monesteries. After touring the monesteries Harry had suggestions of a couple restaurants in town for my wife and I to eat. The food was excellent. Harry was very pleasant to be with and thoughtful of our needs. He dropped us off back at our hotel in Athens. I would definitely use him again.

Long day trip from/to Athens but well worth it. The monasteries of Meteora are truly spectacular. A special, spiritual oasis in the sky. It is little wonder that they have appeared in, and been the inspiration for, so many movies.
Our driver, Nathan, was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

There will be only two of us so that would be only us on the trip or would others be booked to go along with us?
There is a 7am and a 7;30am for 11/21/22 can I ask which one Geroge would be doing ?

The trip is long 4 - 5 hours each way depending on traffic. We hired a private driver through Crispy Local Tours and that was ideal. We could comfortably nap both ways so were not exhausted from the drive. Giannis was extremely knowledgeable about the monasteries and took us to three of them, in addition to some lookouts. If you are looking for hassle-free travel from Athens to Meterora, I would strongly suggest Crispy Local. Also, even with the length of the trip, Meteora was amazing and completely worth it.
