Friendly and informative and delicious!

My husband and I had a wonderful tour at Idiosmos. We toured the facility and got to see the olive oil making process and learned a lot about the bees and the honey making process also. The best part was the friendly staff and owners and of course tasting the olive oil, different types of honey and the local cheese. Delicious!

Fantastic honey and olive oil tour

We had such a great time! Our guide Nancy was awesome and she was very knowledgeable about everything! Learning about the fees was fascinating! The honey was so good. We got several little bottles of it and also got two giant bottles of the olive oil. We are enjoying both at home. I would definitely recommend this tour and get Nancy if you can!

This tour was WELL worth the $. Marianna was an exceptional guide and the tasting was phenomenal. We would highly reccommend this to others to get a better understanding of the Olive Oil history in Greece as well as the importance of Bees and Honey for our well being.

Bee amazed.

This business is in a beautiful and peaceful location. We were warmly greeted by the family upon arrival. A young lady called Marianna opened the tour by telling us all about bees and their fascinating lives, the harvesting of honey and bee keeping itself. She does her job with a vigour and enthusiasm rarely seen these days and positively encourages questions from the tour group. Then we were shown the Olive groves combined with a talk in their history and cultivation methods to harvesting and final production. Finally we were presented with a smorgasbord of mild and strong cheeses, tomatoes, olives and artisan bread sticks which Marianna then paired up with the appropriate honeys from their own apiary, we even got to try pollen as bizarre as it sounds. The tasting was rounded off with complimentary Raki and Raki mixed with honey. We finished the evening with a visit to the farm shop to find all their produce beautifully presented and very reasonably priced.

Must Visit - Amazing.

This was the highlight of a day trip we did. Learnt a lot about bees and honey (and olive oil). Marianna was very knowledgeable especially about her bees and their honey and a great host/guide. All the honeys we tasted were amazing - and even better when paired with the recommended food. Definitely a must see and we will be back next time we’re in Crete.

Sooo worth it!

This tour was SO GOOD! I wouldn't believe that you could make a talk about bees and olive trees so interesting. Marianna's charisma, charm, jokes and, most importantly, vast knowledge(l on the subject, made it an unforgettable experience. The honeys and olive oil at the end were just a cherry on this very delicious cake :)

This was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Crete. Marianna was THE BEST tour guide!! I learned so much and enjoyed every second of the tour. The tasting at the end was awesome. Can’t say good enough things about this place! Do note that we had trouble finding it - be sure you have the actual google maps app downloaded and then you’ll be fine!
