Hands down the best distillery experience I've ever had. Sophia's knowledge and experience of her family's business was great. She was very funny as well. There was no rush when the hour was up to leave. Our tour was at 10am and we left a 1pm. Everything was so so good (well Oozo isn't my favorite) and I left with a number of new finds in beverages and some of the snacks.

This was a fun filled tour. Great balance of touring the distillery and the tasting. Sophia was a great host. Highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a lot of fun! The rich history of the family business that is Citron was fascinating, and our host Sofia being an actual part of that family made it feel even more authentic. A really great time! Also recommend visiting their shop near the port!

I booked the wine and citron tasting for myself and a couple friends when we were in Naxos and it was a highlight for all of us! I like doing distillery & wine tours and this experience was one of my favourites. Our tour guide, Sophia, was fabulous and gave us so much information on her family’s business. The tastings were delicious, as were all the food pairings we were provided. All the staff we interacted with were warm and welcoming and really added to the experience. If I ever find myself in Naxos again, Promponas will be my first stop!

Sofia gave us a tour of the distillery and bottling plant. She took us through the citrus orchard and described the collection of leaves and the subsequent distillation. We then sat down to taste the various products of the distillery and paired cheeses, breads, and olives. She's quite an entertainer and took an interest in each member of the group, making quite a fuss over the young children. Highly recommend this tour!

We had a look at the distillery and the truth is that we had an amazing time even when we were with our two-year-old daughter, Sofia was lovely the explanation very enjoyable and the test of everything was fantastic.

We had a fabulous citron tasting with our 9 year old son who had the best time thanks to Sophia our host! Great citron and great snacks! Must do in Naxos!

I have been coming to Greece for 20 years. I have never left a culinary tasting or tour with such a wonderful impression. I have done tours all over the islands and mainland.
If you are in Naxos, take a tasting and tour of the distillery. The host and every single person who was there working was so hospitable. You learn about the distillery, the process, Naxian foods, and culture, all while sipping wonderful drinks and pairing them with wonderful local food. It wasn't a quick "hustle" of a tour that they then offload you to the gift shop. This was truly a culturally enriching adventure. I cannot say it enough: IF IN NAXOS, GO!!

The tasting was wonderful! Great variety of Kitron and related alcohols, paired with foods that complement them. The tour was comprehensive, and Sofia is a knowledgeable, friendly, and funny guide to her and her family’s distillery.
