Very good instructors and was overall a great experience. My first time trying scuba diving and I absolutely loved it. The bay was beautiful with lots of fish.

This was our favourite activity during our stay in Santorini.
The staff were so friendly and made sure we were comfortable and safe from beginning to end.
I’d highly recommend this activity to anyone: tourist or resident! You won’t regret it.

I have always wanted to try scuba diving and let's just say that after this experience, I am going to try get my scuba licence when I get back home! The instructors were with us every step of the way to feel comfortable and assured, and the volcanic reef was all within the diving parameters so we saw some very impressive sites. Felt like floating in suspended animation so was very relaxing. Even if you end up not liking scuba diving, this was a fantastic way to give it a go to see if this is for you, which for me it definitely was.

Really good experience, definitely worth the money. The staff were really welcoming and informative and our diving instructor dimitrius made the experience even better.

Since the time we dreamed of it we had done it! We were amazed by this first dive and the scuba academy instructors who are kind!!!
Thank you Eirini, Mike for your very precise instructions even in English!
We entered the water with confidence thanks to Mike and he introduced us to the hidden wonders of Santorini and Caldera. There are still many things to discover!!!
If we had had more time we would have spent our first dive landing with them because they share their passion with great generosity. It's just part of it.
Thank you again for this unforgettable moment and your charming company.
And I hope if time and life allow, come back to do this diving course and discover with you the depths of the caldera!

This is an amazing Team! They make this experience so fun and educational.
They offered us a taxi service to pick and drop off from our Hotel. They keep you updated about the trip till the last minute and also well in advance.
After a brief introduction and some interesting and safety briefing we are taken to the location of actual diving place at Caldera Beach. They give you good introductions and give you plenty of time to get adjusted and acclimatised to the diving and heavy equipments. The instructors are so nice and they will be holding our hands all the time. They buddy us into a small group and all the time we will be under their close observation. I wasn’t very confident as I struggled breathing through mouth instead of mouth, but still they patiently waited for me. My teenage boys loved the experience and they would love to do it again.

It was my first dive. For about an hour, Alexis explained to us how the activity went smoothly, the safety instructions, and what to do in the event of danger. In short, we were well trained by Alexis. The equipment was quality. At no time did I tell myself that I was not safe and during the dive Alexis accompanied us well and supervised us well. It was really impressive underwater, a must-do activity.

There is nothing bad to say about our experience with Santorini Scuba Academy! They were friendly, professional, and from the moment we walked in to their building, we knew we were in good hands. I had never been scuba diving before and my daughter had only been once, several years ago. They walked the group through a safety briefing and answered all questions. They spoke to everyone in English, but were so kind and patient with non-English speakers. They took their time and made sure everyone understood and was comfortable with the instruction given. They provided transportation to the beach for the dive (the dive starts by walking in to the water from the beach). They also provided the wet suit and all gear necessary for the dive (but bring your own towel). The gear was very heavy for me, so they helped me in to the water and kept an eye on me the whole time. They gave us time to "practice" breathing under water and provided individual instruction to each person to help them better use the equipment. They make sure you are paired up with a buddy and an instructor. Our instructor was Mike. I cannot say enough good things about Mike. He was kind and patient. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and cared a lot for us and our comfort. The dive was amazing! My nerves were quickly calmed and I was able to enjoy the whole experience! I would absolutely return to Santorini Dive Academy and do this again. We recommended them to others we ran in to while there, as well. Thank you Santorini Dive Academy!! we had an amazing time and you helped add precious memories to our Mother/Daughter trip to Greece! We can never thank you enough!!!

If I did this would I be certified to dive in other places or is this just to let those who don't get certified a taste of diving?

I see that the academy also offers a 2 dive excursion and trying to decide between the two. Can you provide more details on the 2 dive trip. It does not say the amount of dive time or if pictures are offered, My wife and I are both inexperienced divers. (sorry to ask questions about the other excursion in this forum but it did not have a Q&A option in that forum)
