Superb exhibition at the Royal Tomb.
All in all a busy day with 2 museums plus the Royal Tomb, and the option to walk 15mins uphill to the site of the Royal Palace.
Experienced and knowledgeable guide leads you thru Hellenic history and sets you up for the site visits.

This tour has been probably the highlight of my trip to Thessaloniki this year. The tour allows you to visit the ruins of Pella and Aigai, plus the archeological museums and the Royal tombs of Macedon. It takes around 8 hours. Our guide for the day, Mr Lazarus, was very approachable, had a sense of humor and gave us quite detailed explanations to help us place the findings in the right historical context.
The time allowed to see the ruins and museums was adequate for us. I would have liked 10 minutes more in Pella but it was enough to see most of the place. Even if you are not keen on ruins the royal tombs of Macedon are breathtaking. Only comparable to Tutankhamen tomb in Egypt IMO. We had lunch in a nice, simple taverna which was inexpensive and willing to serve quickly. I learnt a lot, and it was a great companion to the visit to the archeological Museum in Thessaloniki .

We really enjoyed our day out to Pellas & Vergina. The guide was really knowledgeable, the museums and sites very impressive and a comfortable and easy journey. We would have liked about 45 minutes more in Vergina for a late lunch, as we didn't have enough time to eat as there was so much to see! I will definitely be back to try some other tours, as the staff are friendly and passionate about their country, and the tours well organised. Great day out.

We enjoyed a lovely day with our terrific guide Eleni on our trip to Pella. We learned all about Alexander the great. Saw some great museums. And learned a lot. Eleni was terrific. Very good. Very informative and sweet. She genuinely enjoyed answering questions and providing us with her knowledge of the region and the history. The bus was air conditioned and had wi-fi. I would use this company again. Thanks Eleni!

Lazarus was very informative and a passionate guide. I learnt a lot from him. The museums and archaeological sites were amazing. I highly recommend going to the Palace of King Philip II because you will see the theatre where Philip II was assassinated; truly magnificent. Do this before you see his tomb because it's a tiring walk in the heat. My only critique for this trip was that I wish we had a bit longer in the museums and tombs to soak all the information in and really immerse myself in the experience.

We decided on a bus tour so that we didn’t have to drive and so that we could have an expert guide to provide the historical context of the sites.
Our bus driver was cordial and helpful and not once did we feel uncomfortable in the bus.
Our guide was Eleni. She was wonderful. Knowledgeable, helpful and great company. She was also very proud of the spaces and sites we visited which really encouraged us to understand how meaningful they were and are today.
The tour itself was also very well organised. Started and ended exactly on time.
All in all a wonderful experience.

Went on this trip with Yiannis on 27th July. Having waited a long time to visit these sites, having seen them on the TV, it was far better than we could have expected.
Yiannis was a great friendly guide, well suited to the job, always putting a bit of humour in, explained everything as we went along. The day was well planned out, with enough time to visit all four sites.
This tour is well worth doing, and takes you to a lovely little restaurant next to the Aigai Tombs, it is very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic. Could do it all over again.
Hope to be back in Thessaloniki soon.

This tour is a time trip, first we visit the museum and the archaeological site of Pella which contains a rich collection of the history of Macedonia and its most famous leaders, Philip II and his son, Alexander the Great. In the place we can walk where they walked one day. After that we go to Vergina where we find the Tomb of Philip II with all the objects they buried with him, there are many details and a lot of history to be learned that was shared in the smallest details by our Guide Lazaro, thanks for the journey in time.
