We visited 4 sites as part of the trip. The trip started with a conveniently located pick-up spot. Our guide Benji arrived on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a great storyteller. We visited 4 sites - a cathedral, 2 castles, and a Viking ship museum. Benji shared information and anecdotes about each site - the Roskilde Cathedral to Fredricksborg and Kronborg. There was enough time to wander around and learn about each place. We had a wonderful day and would recommend it to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

We wanted a guided tour to see and hear some history of Denmark and receive personal commentary on modern life as well. Thomas, our amazing guide, did not disappoint. He was funny, informative, serious and safe all at the same time! Perhaps my favorite part of the truly Grand Day was happening upon an organ concert in the chapel of Fredericksborg Palace. It was a surprise bonus for those who happened to read the sign and chose to stick around. It was not the large church organ, but an early 1600's parlor organ on display, one of the oldest in existence. What a privilege! Thank you Thomas for being an excellent driver and guide. Now what happened in 1658? PS the Viking Museum visit was just the right amount of time, like you promised.

From start to finish, our trip was an great experience. Our guide, Benji, was so nice and his storytelling was excellent. He had an abundance of knowledge about each of our stops from the Roskilde Cathedral to Fredricksborg and Kronborg that painted a perfect picture as we meandered through each place. I believe they max the groups at 15, but ours was a bit smaller and the intimate group made the trip all the better. 10/10 would recommend this day tour to anyone visiting Copenhagen and looking for a laid back and insightful tour.

Took the grand Copenhagen tour with Benji today! What a blast! A beautiful day exploring amazing sites. Benji is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, kind, and entertaining!! Definitely recommend

This trip was fantastic, we got to learn so much about Danish history. Our guide Nikolaj was engaging, funny and very personable. Because of him, I cant stop seeing Christian the 4th watermark in everything. My only minor negative was because we were under some time constraints at Frederiksborg castle, we felt as if we were frantically running through the castle trying to see as much as possible. But at the end of the day this is a must do if you visit Copenhagen, it gives you an amazing taste of Danish history and leaves you wanting more.

Tour operator changed the routing on the day we took the tour. The interior of the castle was closed and the Viking museum closed 5 minutes after arriving. I give the operator credit as they refunded 50% of the cost due to these issues without my asking . Otherwise tour was good with a knowledgeable guide.

Excellent tour, gave good insight into Kopenhagen and Denmark, The guide was very knowledgeable, he was also very entertaining.

Great way to spend a day. Learned a lot about Danish history while seeing different spots around Zeeland. Thomas was a great guide, informative and funny. Would highly recommend.

Would you be able to recommend a nice, inexpensive hotel near the meeting place? Are there restrooms on this tour? Do we need to bring local currency for things like tips? What is the weather like in September?

The bus can pick you up at any hotel in the downtown area, but hotels tend to be expensive in that area. I’d recommend you go to their first meeting place, Tivoli Gardens bus park, via subway. I stayed in a B and B.
Restrooms are available at each stop. Tipping is not necessary anywhere and the weather in Sept should be mild and perfect for sightseeing.

My husband and I will be visiting Copenhagen on Ausgust 16, 2022 on the cruise ship Sky Princess. Do you offer pick up and return to the cruise port and if not, what is the best way to get to the departure point for the tour?

I would recommend opting for the hotel pick up which you can arrange prior to the tour. I chose a nearby “landmark” hotel as I was a solo traveler staying in a hostel for my trip.
Any chance you could pick up a group of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids (6-15) from the airport on 7/1, give us a tour, delivering us to our Wake-up Copenhagen hotel. Then pick us up from the hotel the next morning and continuing our tour until mid-afternoon, then dropping us off at the cruise port?
I am planning to take this tour, but not until August 10, 2022. When can I reserve this tour????
Hello - We would like to reserve the Grand Day Trip in November. Could you provide additional information on how much walking and stairs are involved. Recovering from a foot injury but still have a month before trip.

Hi! Sorry for the late answer - I hope it's still needed. It depends on you how much you will walk. Nothing is mandatory. Challenge is Frederiksberg Palace, which is huge and you have limited time. But it's not necessary to cover it all.
