A very enjoyable way to see some of the city and Suomenlinna island. It started off in a van that took us to a few locations, but most of it was walking. The guide told us a lot of interesting facts.
In the city we focused on a few specific locations (it wasn’t an general walking tour with many stops). The time we spent on the island was more like a classic walking tour and with more in-depth information. This is not a positive or negative thing - just my experience. I really enjoyed the time overall and learned a lot. It was also very laidback and accommodated coffee breaks.

Harry was an excellent guide who was so knowledgeable and kind. He was not rushed. It was nice because the tour was small. Harry even decided to take us to the Helsinki library which was the best part of the tour! We would highly recommend this tour! We also appreciated how the tour company reached out to us the day before the tour to make sure we knew where to go. We would highly recommend this tour.

The tour guide was great and showed us around the city with some good perspective. However, after spending nearly 300 Euros on this tour, I expected that the entire tour will be on a bus until we took the ferry to Suomenlinna. However, only a part of this tour was covered using a van and we had to walk for half the tour. This is definitely too expensive for the services rendered.

The Helsinki tour with Harry was more than a mere sightseeing! He is a true professional who held a lot of knowledge about the places we went to, ensured that we had the best of experiences with food, activities and cared about us (seeing us worried, took us to the hotel to ensure our lost luggages had arrived and continued the tour later on). All the places we visited were absolutely stunning with marvelous architectural styles. Harry also told us about the Finnish culture, coffee, music etc. Our day in Helsinki could not have been better! Thank you so much Harry. 🙂

Keeping in mind that I took this tour in the dead cold winter, it was pretty nice! Most of our time was spent walking, but not an excruciating amount. We saw the main highlights of Helsinki and Suomenlinna. It certainly was not long enough to get in depth into all the sights. My one disappointment was that our tour guide was a bit disconnected from the group and had his headphones on at times. He kind of left us alone, which is fine, but this tour did not compare to others I have experienced. I would recommend it, but it can be hit or miss with tour guides. If you don't care much about total engagement with the guide, the tour itself is worthwhile.

My husband and I had a great time on this tour with our guide, Harry. He brought us to see the various important landmarks in Helsinki in the morning. It was a beautiful morning when we were there and the lights really brought out the beauty of the city. We visited the Christmas market and were given abit of free time to explore the market on our own, which was really nice. In the afternoon, Harry brought us to Suomenlinna, which is accessible via ferry from Helsinki Port. We had about an hour’s walking tour there and we loved the walk through falling snow and seeing the snowy landscape of Suomenlinna, which is kind of surreal and starkly beautiful. We enjoyed listening to Harry’s commentaries throughout the tour. He’s a great guide, very patient and engaging. Also he helped us and our group to take lots of lovely photos. A special mention: we were rather lost as to how to get back to our rental car. Harry went beyond his call of duty to help us find our way, which we appreciate loads.
All in all, we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Helsinki for the 1st time.

Nous avons visité en couple Helsinki grâce à un super guide Harry. Nous avons vu les principaux monuments / endroits à voir d’Helsinki : nouvelle bibliothèque d’Helsinki (en face du parlement) super impressionnante, magnifique église construite dans le granite, sculture d’art moderne en hommage à Jean Sibelius, stade olympique, église orthodoxe, marché couvert d’Helsinki (avec la soupe de sualon que nous recommandons vivement), centre ville avec le café Fazer, vu des autres monuments (palais présidentiel, palais du premier ministre…), …
je recommande vivement pour visiter l’essentiel d’Helsinki en 3h en marchant tranquillement dans dnas la ville 👍🏻😀😀😀!!!!

I am interested in this day tour in Helsinki. I plan to take a ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki and will arrive at Helsinki ferry terminal at 8:15 am. And I have to take a return ferry to Tallinn, Estonia on the same day at 3:15 pm.
Questions:
- What time will this tour start and what time will it finish ?
- Do you have any pick-up and drop-off at the ferry terminal with Eckero Line ?

My one day tour of Helsinki was set up through "Travel Local" formally "trip.me". It started with me being picked up at the hotel where I was staying at 0900 local time. Based on your departure time you could complete the Helsinki tour, but miss the tour to the island. For complete information I would contact "Travel Local" and se what they could do for me. Their local representative is Tara.

I have questions about arriving via Cruise ship (Azamara) at 9am and where best to meet. I don't know where the cruise port is in relation to the pickup hotels mentioned or if there is enough time to get to them. I wish they had a way to contact the tour providers directly on here.
