We loved every minute of this experience.
The horses are amazing, as is the beautiful area we rode around.
Pickup from stop 12 was efficient with a friendly driver.
Nice waiting area with complimentary hot drinks and a friendly cat. We were allowed to see and interact with the horses whilst waiting.
All of the staff we spoke with were friendly, helpful, and encouraging.
I believe it is possible to split into groups depending on experience. On the day we visited, everyone was feeling adventurous, though!

A great experience my partner and I loved it. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the horses were super cute and you could tell that they had a good time as well!

The horses are docile and adorable. Guides were informative and kind. The ride is about 2 hours over gorgeous terrain. Highly recommend!

My wife wanted to ride horses and this was the experience we chose. All of the ladies were extremely helpful with the horses. They split the group into a beginner group which continued at a walking pace but did allow for an intermediate group which my wife did and she said they got up to a trot. They had warm beverages when we returned the horses to the stables. We also were able to see an amazing sunrise during the ride that made it even more special.

Cannot believe how amazing this experience was like! Best tour from my travels by far. Do try and fit it in your visit to Iceland even if are beginner. Highly recommend!

The nicest trail guides led us around and the views were amazing! It was a bonus that it was actively snowing while we were riding! The horses were lovely and you could be split into groups depending on your experience level if you wanted to. Overall, no negative things to say!

Great experience! The guides were attentive. Everyone got a horse based on their riding experience. Had an absolute lucky break with my mare! On the way there is information about the surroundings, the horses in general and their attitude. Photos are taken during the break, so recommended for solo travelers.

I contacted them after a recommend from a friend.
I emailed in advance to ascertain which bus stop was best for us and received the information it was the Culture House bus stop 6. We booked and the bus turned up on time and knew all about us which is always a worry when you have booked from afar. We arrived over icy and snowy roads to the Stables to a warm welcome hot coffee and video debrief. Lovely people.
I had been previously tipped off to take the offer of the fleece lined waterproof riding gear and so glad we did. There were some people that did not do this and looked beautiful but they were certainly not warm it was -8. Everything is provided but I think warm footwear was better than wellies provided on this cold day if it was raining I would have chosen the wellies.
You cannot bring anything that has been connected to horses in other parts of the world. The horses are unique and the only horses on highland so they would be vulnerable to infection.
We were individually picked for our Horses and the Team were so good at this. My Husband is 90kg and nearly a beginner and he loved it. I was a child horse owner but very rusty but you don't forget your saddle legs.
We were all put on our horses and off we went after 15 minutes we could divide into slower and faster groups. My husband went left and went right. I did tolting which was amazing. The scenery was nothing but superb and ride was nothing short of amazing. We road out at dawn which was about 10.20. All I can is the horses are amazing sure footed and team of horses which genuinely love each other. The horses have a union ask about it they are best looked after Horses in the Word.

Are the saddles all English style? I have some experience with Western saddles but have the opportunity to learn English style. I have a full year to get ready. I will ve on a Viking cruise, is pick-up available close to the cruise terminal?

Yes! Our group actually split up because we had a child with us who was too young for the lava ride. They were very accommodating and helped us get everyone in our group the experience they were hoping to have. Also note that on the lava tour, there is an opportunity to choose to break off and do a more advanced ride or continue on with the main group. So you could even start the ride together if you want to.

Hey I think it was a half hour drive not far from the main city area. We didn't drive but we're collected we stayed at eyja which I don't think was to far from the Foss so they should pick up from there. Most places list this on the bottom of the booking sheet.

We booked the Ishtar Stables excursion through Guide to Iceland and had an option for a Reykjavik pick up but paid an extra fee. They picked us up in a mini van at the time/pick up place we selected.
