Wonderful tour. Stefan guided us around the city showcasing its culture, traditions, history and - most importantly - its food. He was well informed, friendly, and open. I would highly recommend this tour, and Stefan in particular

Overall, this was a wonderful food tour! I’ve been on tours where everything felt rushed but this was the complete opposite. Our guide Guna was very patient as most of our group arrived late, but we had a wonderful slow start with delicious lobster soup. We enjoyed hearing about Iceland culinary and cultural tradition. We hopped around a few other sites worth visiting (hotdogs! Sweets!) and ended with a delicious and relaxing dinner and drinks. Guna went above and beyond beyond to accommodate our group, with thoughtful adjustments to the schedule and always checking in. My kids loved learning a few phrases in Icelandic with her. Overall we had a lovely time and I highly recommend this tour, specifically with our tour guide Guna!

Paul was a funny, knowledgeable and amazing guide. He had many stories and the tour provided great insight into the local Icelandic cuisine!

We landed in Reykjavik in the morning, checked in early at our hotel and took a nap, and then embarked on this tour in the early afternoon. It was a great way to get introduced to Icelandic food and culture, and a fun way to get acquainted with the city. Highly recommend!

I love food tours everywhere I go. Here we had the pleasure to have Ester E as our guide. She was very nice and told us many things about local culture and food 🙂
We were 4 adults and one 6 yo boy and he fell in love with hot dog (we went there again next day and he ate 4 hot dogs!!)

As a solo traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the heart of Reykjavik than the Reykjavik Food Lovers Tour! Our guide, Magnus, was fantastic—his easygoing nature immediately put me at ease, and his unique sense of humor and wealth of knowledge made the experience both fun and engaging.
The tour was so well organized, offering a perfect blend of traditional Icelandic dishes and fascinating stories about the city’s and country’s history. It felt like a personal introduction to Reykjavik, with each stop showcasing something special.

We went last week. It was just my husband and I. Pauly was our guide. We devided to book it as soon as we landed and it was a great experience. We were so full at the end. Very good insights on places to go, see, try. I enjoyed going to the market and getting recommendations or information on items we are not familiar with. I highly recommend specially if this is the firat time in a new town.

What a lovely host Einar was, he poured his heart into our tour as he told us about the food he grew up with, showed us around, and sang his grandma’s songs to us. He’s passionate and truly felt like meeting a friend yesterday.

Honestly. not a vegetarian friendly selection here, as it is tasting of specific local fare and traditional Icelandic delicacies; mostly seafood and lamb.

Hello. I'm a total foodie, but I don't eat red meat (beef/lamb), pork, or shellfish. This may be a disadvantage in Iceland, and I can always just skip those parts. My question is... is it possible to have alternatives for people with food sensitivities, or would that guest just not eat at that stop?

At the end, our tour guide bought everyone an alcoholic drink. Other beverages throughout the tour were non-alcoholic.

We have eaten so much!
if I remember correctly, 7 dishes and 1 drink:
Maquareux, lamb soup, fish and chips, hot dog, shark, whale, lobster soup and skir!
Sometimes a complete dish sometimes just tasting, but all very rich and representative of their specialties
we ate well and enjoyed the little tour of the center with the guide, with whom we could discuss the whole evening
