Our family (two adults, one 10-year old, one baby strapped to the back 🤣) has done escape rooms all over the world and we had a great time at this escape room! It's definitely an older style room - no fancy gadgets - but still a clever collection of puzzles to be solved.
One thing that I'll say is that this room is probably not a good fit for somebody who hasn't done a lot of escape rooms. I can definitely see newbies getting stuck early on and feeling pretty discouraged. We ended up needing a couple of clues at the end and made it out right before the hour. Their way of giving out clues with the phone worked well and we got help both times very promptly.
Other quick notes: Everything is in Icelandic and in English; there are nice clean bathrooms to go to before/after; just as a FYI, they do actually *lock* you in the room (though they provide an emergency key to get out if you need to).
