Wow what views and scenary. Ponies are exceptionally behaved even if ur beginner u are safe. Got equipped up off we went. Lovely photo opportunity. Get to try the tolt. I am experienced rider and I thoroughly enjoyed it. When I come bk one day I am trying the faster place fallen in love with this breed

Fantastic experience for experienced riders and novices alike. What was lovely is we were not split by experience so I got to ride with my novice partner. We got a great try of the tolt doing almost 25 minutes according to my riding app.
Well trained and looked after horses and the ladies working there obviously loved them.

We enjoyed our Horse Riding experience, and all of the staff were friendly and professional. We mistakenly went to the wrong stables, and the staff were so kind and accommodating and waited for us to arrive (though we do recommend arriving the suggested 45 minutes early and not doing what we did).
The lava fields were great to see and the horses were all friendly. Please note, due to safety requirements - you will not be able to take photos whilst you're riding the horses. They will stop for a photo opportunity, but don't expect photos outside of this opportunity.

Even though I was scared and being older I still felt very safe. They were understanding of the limitations but it ended up being a very enjoyable experience They even took our pictures with our phones. Worth it

This was a wonderful experience! Our ride started at 10am and lasted 2 hours. We had several guides assist us getting on our helmets and winter jumpsuits. They assigned each of us a horse based on our previous horse riding experience, five or more previous rides counted as experienced rider. I rode Concert a beautiful brown horse and my husband rode a black horse Methodis. The ride was pleasant and fun! The horses are well trained and seem to know the routine very well! We even got to trot quite a bit! We loved it! Even my husband who is not much into riding enjoyed it very much! The Icelandic horses are shorter and stockier than american horses so he found them more comfortable to ride! After the ride they had a nice variety of teas and hot chocolate for us. It was a great day!

Beautiful scenery right outside of Reykjavik. We went through red lava formations, rolling hills and a small forested area, which made for an interesting ride. Horses were well cared for and well trained. They had great all weather coveralls for everyone, which was great to keep out the cold wind. They matched horses with riders' experience. We were able to experience the tult a few times during the 2+ hour ride. Overall, a delightful experience with the amazing Icelandic Horse.

Neither of us had ever been on a horse but it was the best thing we done in Iceland. Great guides. Amazing experience. Great for fans of Yellowstone aha

Hello, no need to notify them of your experience as the ponies are lovely and gentle and a baby could ride one. the guide allowed us a little trot so we could experience the tolt stride and we had 2 ladies who had never even sat on horses who managed fine. The Icelandic horses are great. We were picked up at our bus stop and only stood waiting for 10 minutes so I guess be there 20 mins to be safe. you can always call them if you are not sure. I really enjoyed the trip even tho I was rather worried before so just ho and have a.lovely time!
