Incredible 2 day South Island trip! This was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Iceland!!!! Einar was our guide and we could not have had a better person to guide us through the South Coast! We were pick up at our hotel and we went to a great bakery as our first stop. Then off to explore Iceland with fresh coffee and delicious pastries! Einar's driving was safe and calm (unlike some other drivers we had with other tour companies). The first day we saw Skagafoss and Seljalandfoss water falls, the Light House, the Black Beach of Reynisfjara, had a great burger lunch in Vik and we saw the most beautiful scenery driving.
Finishing at Jokulsarlon - Glacier Lake and Diamond Beach before heading to a beautiful hotel on a farm for dinner and......The Northern Lights Appeared for us!
Day 2 we got up early to a great buffet breakfast! Oh the cheese.....then off for our Glacier Hike and Ice Caves. We were there before all the crowds (like all our stops) and we had a beautiful hike and wow the Ice Caves. Although almost gone (Mid-April) we managed to see two Ice caves, alone with our small group and guide. We then met back at the Glacier Lagoon so we had another chance to see the floating icebergs and Diamond Beach and another Icelandic Hot Dog or the most delicious Fish and Chips!
Could not be happier with our decision to do the 2 day South Coast tour with Hidden Iceland. It was relaxed and fun! I noticed the large tour buses unloading and loading back up with little time to see and explore before they were off again. We had time to really look around, take photos and our knowledgeable guide with us. Einar is a wealth of knowledge about Iceland, and food! He made our trip. During the drive Einar talked about the history of Iceland and made many suggestions on what to see and do to make our trip even better. We went to a couple of the restaurants, in Reykjavik, Einar suggested and he was spot on with great food !
When we were dropped off we had new friends! Thank You Hidden Iceland and Einar for making our first trip to Iceland even more wonderful !

Wow! What an incredible review!!! Thank you for taking the time to really delve into what made these 2 days so special. I'm sure Einar will be ecstatic reading the kind words about him too. His attention to detail and care really makes him the perfect guide to show you around the country.
Getting to see the Northern Lights so late in the season is such a treat too! It really sounds like everything worked out perfectly and Einar added a lot of value.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. From pickup to drop off, every aspect of our 2 day tour went smoothly. Loved the small group and the comfortable car. Our guide, Simon, was great - very knowledgable, experienced, and funny! He took us to all the spots on our itinerary and even threw in some extra stops along the way! Long days on this tour, but something you will not regret. Also, appreciated how Simon sent all of us various pictures/videos he sneakily took of us along the way - what a special treat!
Highly recommend this tour! Thank you to Simon for being a wonderful guide and giving us an unforgettable experience of Iceland!

This tour was amazing. Our guide was Einar. He gave us a lot of information about Icelandic people and culture. The bus was small,nice and clean. We had sunny days so we were able to see all scheduled places. Timing was very good, we were the first group in ice cave and it was definitely once in a lifetime experience. We could see everything without any crowd. Hotel placed in a very good spot to see a northern lights. It was low the night we were there but we still saw them through the camera.

Glacier lagoon tour was splendid! Teitur is an amazing guide and is very knowledgeable! We got to know many interesting facts and his stories were super interesting! We had plenty of time at each stop to properly explore the highlights and enjoy good quality food :) ice caves were wonderful and we got to catch a rainbow on our stops :) very happy about choosing this tour and we highly recommend it to everyone. So many tour companies do what are essentially the same routes through Iceland, but a company like Hidden Iceland truly goes the extra mile to give its clients a special experience. We did two tours with them: 1) The 2-day glacier lagoon and ice cave, 2) Golden Circle. First, I appreciate the small group nature. Tours are limited to 12 people at maximum, so you can get to know others and form a strong relationship with your guide.
We did both of our tours with Arna, and she was absolutely the best. She was so knowledgeable about everything we saw and about Icelandic culture and history in general. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she cheerfully answered every question. She even played us some Icelandic music from her personal playlist. As we were making good time on the second day of our 2-day tour, she made some special stops that were not on the itinerary. Now, if you're taking a bunch of people on a 2-day tour of the country, I would not begrudge you if you wanted to get home a little early, but no, Arna wanted to make sure we were able to experience as much as possible. She absolutely made the trip!
On our Golden Circle tour, my wife left her swimsuit at the Secret Lagoon. At the next stop we informed Arna, who immediately called the place and made arrangements to have another driver deliver it to the office in the city so we could pick it up. This is the kind of above-and-beyond service you get from a boutique outfit that cares about its clients and wants them to have the best experience.
In short, I cannot recommend Hidden Iceland more highly!

We did the 2 day Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Ice Cave trip with Robert as our guide. Robert explained at the beginning of our trip how Iceland had gotten into his heart. His goal was to get Iceland firmly embedded into ours too - a goal which he certainly achieved, well within the two days he had. The many beautiful landscapes and natural features of this trip are stunning, but made more special by Robert who added his stories, and a couple of extra stops in places he knew about. Robert engaged with all on the bus, and accompanied us at stops, taking photos and sharing information- unlike other companies tour guides, who stayed in the bus. I would totally recommend this trip, definitely worth spending 2 days on the south coast and the overnight stop was very comfortable. The days are long, however the Hidden Iceland bus was very clean and comfortable, more spacious than other companies mini-busses. Take lots of snacks, but the lunch stops we were well chosen, with plenty of time allowed to both sightsee and eat. I also need to mention that the weather changes very rapidly and we found ourselves driving through Icy roads and considerable snow. Robert provided reassurance and drove through these conditions safely, and with confidence, giving us all the ability to relax and enjoy the environment. I have no hesitation in recommending either Hidden Iceland or Robert as a tour guide. If we ever have the opportunity to return, we will be going straight to Hidden Iceland to arrange our trip.

Hidden Iceland was FANTASTIC !!! I actually started with them 3 years ago, however my trip needed to be cancelled due to Covid. They were so kind and refunded all of my money. So naturally, I wanted to rebook with only them and I am so glad I did. It was such a great time and everything was beautiful. Granted it was the coldest it had been in 25 years, but with proper layering and many stops for hot drinks , food and bathroom breaks plus a nice warm van, this was not to bothersome.
Einar, was the perfect guide. Although I probably asked way to many questions, he was happy to answer all of them. It is a long 2 days with lots of time on the bus, but it is broken up with waterfalls, black beach and such. Even the rest stops were nice. Especially liked the Skool Bus Cafe. Very unique and great coffee.
The ICE Cave was beautiful with the blue and green colors. You do not go far into the cave but it is absolutely remarkable. Make certain you wear hiking boots or snow boots. It is about 30 minute walk to icecave on rocks and lava rocks.
The motel was modest but it was fine for one day. The dinner at the place very good. Got to see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Although not as wonderful as I imagined but still incredible to see.
The frozen waterfalls were very cool especially with a rainbow next to it.
From the beginning 3 years ago to the end of my trip with them, they have been wonderful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and would certainly do another trip.

Thank you for such a well written review, Ziggy. And to have to wait 3 years to finally get to join us, your expectations must have been so high by that point. It's great to read that we (and Einar) delivered on our promises.
Also happy to read that the coldest day in 25 years didn't affect the trip in any negative way. Seeing everything frozen and static is more rare than you might think in Iceland. What a treat!

We had SUCH a great experience with Hidden Iceland and actually booked 3 tours with them. The 2 night Glacier Lagoon (guide --Simon), Golden Circle (guide -- Robert) and the Peninsula (guide -- Einar)
We loved touring with them because of the small groups, comfortable transportation and engaging guides. Each of the guides was adept at sharing information, creating community and making the trip enjoyable.
Cannot recommend them enough. We definitely felt this was money WELL WELL spent.

Very enjoyable two day trip on 28th February with our great guide Fennar (Not sure if this is correct spelling).
Lots of fabulous sights and very informative. Such a unique landscape. We're overwhelmed when we saw an amazing display of the aurora. So incredibly lucky. We also did the golden circle tour. We loved the tomato greenhouse!!!! Can definitely recommend 👌

Wonderfully executed guided trip. With so many sites to see along the south coast we decided to spend 2 days exploring with a guide. We were fortunate in many ways. Our group was fun and meshed well, and our guide, Max, was perfect. We learned a lot, never felt rushed, and always felt comfortable. Weather was great, scenery is amazing. If you book this trip, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

They have limited room but you can check with them. There is definitely room for luggage but not if it is a full tour and everyone brought full size luggage. I took a backpack and left my luggage at my hotel in rek
