Romane was very welcoming and allowed us to see several whales giving us lots of information about marine life. Very nice experience

Amazing adventure. Windy, rainy and choppy journey to find the sea life. The guide was informative and very patient. Soon we saw lots of white-beaked dolphins gambolling in the waves. Then just as we were about to turn back to port a beautiful humpback whale put in a show for us. For about 20 mins we were treated to an amazing display by whale and dolphins. Fantastic work experience!

The view was very poor, I have seen 3 wails BUT they were very very far, barely you see them physically or there breathing.
It is not like what you see in the photo's in the organizer website, there you see the wails just few meters (20 to 30 m) away from the boat BUT in reality it is about 500 to 600 meters, so it really difficult to see them
I took some photo's BUT barely I can see the wail in the photo's even when I enlarge the photo
Don't make a high expectation from this trip, at least as per my experience

We do our best to give accurate expectations, but the distance you mentioned can depend on many factors such as weather and whale behavior. Seriously great energy from the crew.
They have the other operators in communication to help increase chances of seeing whales.
Didnt even have to keave the harbour before we started seeing whales, there were a handful of humpbacks which according to the guide was out of character fornthis oeriod of the year, they're normally further out.
Boat was smooth and comfortable.
Onboard bar and hot drinks at additional cost.
It was great fun and I'd definitely go again.
Only minor gripe the meetup point wasn't 100% clear on maps (turned out to be inside the pub).

Magnificent excursion we saw whales for almost 1 hour although a priori it is not quite the right period

Got to see whales which was great, staff fab and everything on time. I’ve just had better whale watching trips.

A well-done and successful tour! Found the office in a small building at the west end of the harbor. Checked in and were directed to our boat, a sort of large yacht rigged out for easy whale spotting and watching. Were greeted by officer Bjorn who welcomed us on board and directed us to the upper deck where the deck was spacious and perfect for spotting whales. An enclosed mid-deck cabin area would have been good in event of wet weather, but it was a sunny day. Coffee was available in this cabin. Our well-educated and experienced guide Lucky, a Brit who had been all over the world but who now lived in Iceland, gave us a safety briefing and much information about the short voyage. The captain cast off and gently motored out of the harbor. Lucky was joined by Emil, an officer and master in his own right. In the mouth of the harbor we immediately spotted some Minke whales; they were not disturbed by our presence and performed for us. Later we came across a humpback whale that we slowly followed for a long time. On the way back to port we saw White-beaked dolphins with babies. Additionally we viewed a porpoise. The boat stayed off the Reykjavik port entrance and the mouth to Whale Fjord just to the north. The seas were quite calm. Both Lucky and Emil were excellent spotters and full of information which they generously shared. The captain was quite skilled and experienced, navigating his vessel carefully to keep up with the whales without scaring them away. The weather was perfect: clear, mild, light breezes. There were about 17 passengers, but the vessel could have comfortably accommodated more.
After disembarking we and a number of our fellow passengers discovered a nice outdoor food stand selling delicious fish and chips. We enjoyed a reasonably-priced lunch (by Iceland standards).
We highly recommend this tour and this tour operator.
