nous avons utilisé la ligne verte bus a imperiale. toutes les 45 minutes. 18€ le bus s'arrete aux principaux sites touristiques ce qui vous donne le temps de faire votre visite et de reprendre le bus suivant. un conseil prenez la navette le plus tot possible a la Valette, durée du trajet 45 minutes et prix modéré

A very good tour of Gozo that took in plenty of the local sights. The guide was very knowledgeable not just on the general history, culture and traditions of the island but also on the history etc of each place we stopped at was definitely worth it at the end of the day.

To start of with the tour was over subscribed and not everyone could get on the bus. The bus driver got very irate at one point and was shouting on his phone and at the guide. Our guide, Vincent, was taking the Italian and English speakers in the group so certain people had to change groups once on the very. We had to hang about once we got to Gozo as they had lost 2 people so we had to wait on the next ferry coming. Eventually drove off to see the sights but guide wasn’t inspiring. Lunch was dire, cheap restaurant that caters for bus groups and wine disgusting. We only had 50 mins stop in Victoria to see the citadel and other things. The wee train ride was needless. Coming back on ferry, group got separated again so more hanging about once we got back to Malta. In my opinion much better getting the ferry across and doing the hop on hop off bus.

Deze tour was onderdeel van het pakket dat mijn vriend en ik boekten om Malta te bezoeken. We waren voornamelijk geïnteresseerd in het bezoeken van de Ggantija megalithische tempels. We vonden voornamelijk slechte reviews over deze tour, maar we waren zeer aangenaam verrast. Ik volg hier met een gedetailleerde review om je te overtuigen, maar ik kan alvast deze tour echt aanraden.
Je wordt opgehaald aan (of in de buurt van) je hotel door een bus, waarna je met de groep de ferry neemt naar Gozo. Afhankelijk van waar je verblijft kan je wel een tijdje op de bus zitten. De locaties die je bezoekt liggen redelijk ver uit elkaar, dus veel tijd breng je door op de bus. Deze is gelukkig comfortabel, met airconditioning.
Je wordt gegidst door locals. Wij hadden Miriam als gids, een 'Goziten' (inwoner Gozo) die zeer goed Engels sprak. Ze gaf in de bus extra uitleg over de geschiedenis van Gozo, de geografie, de megalithische tempels, zelfs over het schoolsysteem in Malta. Je kon haar alles vragen wat je wou over Malta. Zeer aangenaam!
De tour is aangepast aan iedereen. Er is veel te voet te doen, maar als je dat niet ziet zitten hoef je niet mee en mag je op sommige momenten op de bus blijven zitten.
In de voormiddag bezoek je de Ggantija-tempels. Heel indrukwekkend en Miriam gaf bijzonder veel uitleg! We hadden wel graag iets meer tijd gekregen bij de tempels, dit was het enige stuk van de tour dat nogal gehaast aanvoelde.
Daarna word je even afgezet bij een kleine markthal met locale specialiteiten. Voelt een beetje aan als een 'tourist trap', maar daar staat tegenover dat ze er echt wel lekkere specialiteiten hebben. Gelukkig stop je er niet te lang!
's Middags aten we in Seashell Restaurant. Niets speciaal, maar best eetbaar. Simpel eten, maar als je bedenkt voor hoeveel mensen ze moeten koken is dat niet verwonderlijk. Er zaten zeker 100 mensen in dat restaurantje! Je kreeg twee opties bij het voorgerecht (groentensoep of pasta met vlees) en drie bij het hoofdgerecht (kip, vis of veggie omelet) en het dessert was een beetje ananas. Rode en witte wijn mocht je zoveel drinken als je wou. Ik klaag niet!
Je bezoekt ook Gozo's versie van een blauwe grot, zeker de moeite om met de vissersbootjes mee te varen doorheen de rotswand! Echt spectaculaire beelden. Zeker als je niet de tijd hebt om naar de Blue Grotto te gaan in Malta, echt een aanrader. Wij hebben ze allebei gedaan en vonden dit ook echt de moeite.
Bij het bezoek van Gozo's hoofdstad Victoria heeft de touroperator een film geregeld over de geschiedenis van Gozo (voornamelijk voor de mensen die wat minder goed te been zijn). Je bent echter vrij om Victoria en de prachtige Citadel zelf te ontdekken, zeker een aanrader!
Het komt er op neer dat je redelijk wat vrijheid hebt ondanks het tijdschema. Ik heb ook de indruk dat de tour veranderd is sinds de reviews die ik hier lees en dat hij veel verbeterd is. 60 euro lijkt veel, maar bedenk dat daar alles in zit: twee buschauffeurs (één op Malta, één op Gozo), de gidsen (er waren er 2 en we werden opgesplitst per taal), toegangsticket voor Ggantija-tempels, ticket voor de ferry heen en terug, drie-gangenmaaltijd,...
Gozo is zeker te bezichtigen zonder deze tour, maar als je graag eens een dagje niet nadenkt over wanneer je de volgende bus moet nemen of waar je gaat eten of hoe je terug naar het hotel geraakt... dan ga je het je niet beklagen.

very poor tour, not worth the money. the guide (although good) said everything is 3 languages, which slowed down everything to beyond terrible. Food was unbelievable bad. 40+ passengers, too large. the coaches were old and cramped and noisy. Very expensive for what is was. DO NOT GO WITH THIS TOUR OR COMPANY.

Francis our guide was very good - personable, corny jokes, love of his country. A highlight. This tour of Gozo is an okay choice if you have limited time and want to minimize figuring it out on your own, but it is geared towards the lowest common denominator. Lunch at the Cittadella Restaurant was INEDIBLE. Really. #237 of #246 restaurants in Gozo for lunch. Terrible. If you have any trouble walking distances and / or managing stairs this tour is NOT for you. Don’t believe I could recommend this company without saying to keep your expectations low.

Took this tour today would def not recommend it we were dropped at the ferry and told we woukd be met in Gozo.on arrival in Gozo nobody to meet us after asking alot of questions and finding a number to phone SMS offices we find out the tour guide is on the next ferry coming over with 30 mire people. A waste of 2 hours of our day by the time the your got going. No time to see the cathedral no time to see Victoria or the citadel as is advertised in the programme when it is been sold to the customer. Sorry we didn't make our own way to Gozo and explore ourselves.

Unfortunately on that day we had a new driver which she thought that you would be meeting the guide at in Gozo so that is why she told you that you will be meeting the guide on the other side.
With regards to you not having time to visit the Cathedral and to see Victoria I will be checking with the guide.

I made a short weekend trip to Malta to get away from classes. This was the only thing I was able to do on my trip and it was well worth it! I saw so many sites, met fun other tourists, bought some great souvenirs, and had some yummy food! The guide was so nice too! This is a trip that I will never forget!

I was very lucky to be on this tour in February when it's not the most busy time. In our jeep it was just me, one other person and the driver, John who is a very knowledgeable and lovely man who ensured we had a day that we thoroughly enjoyed with a lot of interesting information about the area. I would definitely recommend this as a great thing to do while in Malta, there is so much to see, the views from everywhere are breathtaking, the people extremely hospitable and genuine and the history rich and interesting. It would be a shame to miss out on this while holidaying in Malta

molto interessante una giornata diversa, con una accompagnatrice che parlava benissimo italiano, che ci ha prelevato dall'hotel al al mattino a san julian e con un pullman siamo stati accompagnati alla partenza del traghetto che ci ha trasportato fino a gozo, una tranquilla isoletta molto carina. qui abbiamo visitato sempre con un pullman le più importanti bellezze. la cosa che più mi ha entusiasmato è stata la gita in barca a Triq Il Gebla Tal General, San Lawarenz, qui il barcaiolo con 4 euro ti porta attraverso una fenditura negli scogli in mare aperto. bellissimo!!!!!!
