On May 22, 2023 my wife, my son and I attended this concert. I had booked the Golden VIP concert two and half month in advance so that I could get the best seats. Upon arrival we were told that our seats were given to someone else. My seats were 11, 12 and 13. And we were shifted to 17,18,19. Absolute corner where we had dismissal view. (Image attached). We had zero view of the pianist. My son is a pianist and I had made sure that he gets to see the best view of the pianist.
Extremely terrible management. The manager was arrogant and shoved us to the corner. I paid premium to make sure we get the best experience.

The view from the fort iss worth the price. The service at dinner was wonderful, but the food was OK. We had the fish and it needed sauce
But the desert was terrific. The traditional Salzburg kuglern

What a fabulous night! It starts with a funicular ride up to the fortress with time to take in the stunning views and take pictures. Our dinner started with a beautiful private table in an alcove with an incredible view. Bread and spreads as well as an aperitif started the evening. Next came a wonder white wine soup. Our waiter, Wolfgang had us try 2 wines to see which we liked best to go with the short ribs. Dinner was delicious. We ended with a souffle and a sherry. The concert was absolutely amazing with prosecco served at break. By far one of the best evenings on our travels.

I liked the food, they had a chicken dish. Nice wait staff. Wine was reasonable price. Best part was the concert. I thought the ensemble they had was phenomenal and (I think) covered key Mozart music. I don’t know classical music but I enjoyed it! Skilled and passionate performers. They don’t let you on the train until 5p though, unless you want to pay extra. Nice fortress. Glad I went.

Wonderful surroundings in the castle for meal followed by a quartet and piano soloist playing some wonderful pieces from Mozart, Grieg and Strauss. Meal was at 6pm overlooking mountains then concert from 8pm till 9:45. A wonderful evening.

Inclus le funiculaire A/R, le diner et le concert.
Le diner est pas mauvais, même bon et le service rapide, le concert débutant à l'heure.
Concert dans une petite salle, très sympa avec du Mozart et autres compositeurs.
Non vraiment, une expérience inoubliable.

Spent a rather lovely evening here with colleagues and it was just a lovely evening. The views from the fortess were stunning, the dinner was good rather than fine dining but some good wine helped and the concert after was very enjoyable. Great way to spend an evening in Salzburg.

The concert was great. The acoustics of the room were perfect. There was some Mozart but not as much as I'd like. The dinner was interesting. It felt like the staff was overwhelmed. They were very nice but they seemed to be struggling with the size of the group. If I could do it again, I'd skip the formal meal and sit outside eating pomme frits until the show began.

Dinner was well prepared and served. We upgraded to the top tier and had lovely window seats overlooking the city and Alps. Decent wine served with dinner. Moving to concert hall through a series of stairs then had front row seats. Concert was wonderful with a short break that included a glass of Prosecco. Would definitely do this again!

Is entrance into the Fortress included? In other words, could we come early and explore the castle before dinner?

Yes! The combined dinner and show includes the cable car and access to wander around the castle. If going for dinner (6pm) I suggest getting to the funicular (cable car) at 4.30 - it may take 20 mins to get up depending on crowds, then you need time to wander and see the sunset! All before dinner. Reserve a window seat (if you can?) as we arrived 6.05pm and seating was jammed in so if you’re not by the window it’s tight with less views. A wonderful evening though! Concert is up another few flights of stairs and went from 8-9,30, long walk down many stairs to get back to cable car to go down.
Is the concert and dinner package operating during the last week in december?
Also, are the meals the same in the VIP package?

I don’t know about the Winter Season.The VIP gave seating on the Terrace with View.Also free Glas of Champane at Intermission. You should Google it under „Dinner and Mozart“ that’s how I found out about it.I then called the # and made Reservations that way.You can also call to there to get verbal Info.
Después de ascender con el funicular (sin recogida) a la Fortaleza, el restaurante Panorama se encuentra a la derecha en la salida.
quiere decir que una vez acaba el concierto no tenemos incluida la bajada en funicular?

Access to the fortress is by funicular; then there are 100 steps inside the fortress to the concert venue. I am not aware of any elevator.
