Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Annelie… she is extremely knowledgeable and can tailor the tour to your interests as well as your level of knowledge of the topic. Highly recommended! Next time, I will commission Annelie to recommend/ curate musical performances and special sights around Vienna. She’s fabulous!

Once you’ve checked all the Vienna must-do sights, and it’s time to truly make your Vienna visit special, take this tour with Annelie. She’ll provide extraordinary insights into musical Vienna, the players, their music, and sites. And her enthusiasm is infectious. Note: despite our family being somewhat classical music novices, we still enjoyed this tour tremendously. A truly memorable experience.

Our private Vienna music tour with Annelie was absolutely magnificent! Annelie was a thoroughly knowledgeable, friendly, and personable guide, who provided excellent information about the musicians who resided in Vienna, escorting us to key locations where they lived and made music. We loved how Annelie provided headsets so we could listen to various pieces of music that corresponded to the composers/locations, as well as a plethora of photos that enhanced the experience. She also willingly accommodated our requests. To top it all off, Annelie took us to a very special restaurant for our lunch at the conclusion of our tour. Do not hesitate to book this fabulous tour!

We are a music-loving family and we came to Vienna to immerse ourselves in the city which was the birthplace of classical music. Annelie was the perfect guide, incredibly knowledgeable about the city and the history of the many famous composers who worked here. Annelie prepared a well-researched walking tour to show us highlights and tell us stories of what happened at each place. She brought many props to bring the anecdotes to life: printed photos, video clips and music selections to enhance our experience. As a bonus, she was very patient with our young daughter who needed a bathroom or a short rest several times. The day was hot so when our tour ended, Annelie was able to negotiate a table for us inside a lovely, cool and comfortable cafe overlooking the opera house where we lingered over a delicious lunch. She attended our every need and we learned so much! We highly recommend Annelie!!

The tour with Annelie was superb. She is so knowledgeable and was very flexible adapting the tour to my interests.
She provided a wonderful overview of important moments in Vienna's music history together with relevant recordings and pictures. Playing an excerpt of Mozart's Requiem at the location of his memorial service brought me to tears.
She even took me to the Philharmonic offices to see if there were any returns for a concert that week. The only two seats available - on the stage behind the orchestra - would not have happened without her - so she was also responsible for one of our most memorable musical experiences ever.
This is a truly special tour with an outstanding guide - I cannot recommend her enough.

Call Emily our tour guide-Annelie—was truly superb! our tour was centered on the music history of the area, and she surprised me with her in-depth knowledge of the history. As a professional musician, I was especially pleased with the insight and background she provided. I would heartily recommend her for anyone seeking a unique and enriching overview of the areas history.

Our private, three-hour walking tour with Annelie, an excellent guide with Insight Cities Vienna Tours, was the highlight of our visit to Vienna. Kind, knowledgeable, and friendly, Annelie escorted us to key places that connected us to Vienna's classical music heritage and was open to helping us exploring our stated interests. We enjoyed viewing Annelie's many photos/pictures that corresponded to the locations and listening to music of the composers we discussed. Annelie recommended a totally delightful restaurant for lunch at the end of our tour. We felt so fortunate to have Annelie as our guide, and she has our highest recommendation.

Annelie was an exceptional, extremely knowledgeable and well-researched, friendly, passionate and enthusiastic guide. She was very thorough and flexible in adapting her tour for me (a classical musician) and my partner (an architect). Annelie manages to create a tour that was an excellent combination of both our interests. If you are in Vienna for only a few days, do yourself the favour and book a private tour with Annelie!

What a phenomenal tour with Annelie! My eldest Son who is a musician suggested this tour and we are all music lovers. Annelie was friendly inviting and excited to talk about not only all things music but all things Vienna. It was very moving and informative. Highly recommend booking this if you are a fan of music. Was amazed at all the composers that lived and worked together here.

What a great tour! Our guide Angelika made our afternoon in Vienna sing! She showed us places we would not have seen and told us their stories. She navigated us through the city both on foot and with public transportation and made sure our afternoon was exactly what we wanted!
