Absolutely amazing northern lights chase with Simon and Dominic!
We boarded a minibus with about 14 others at 5:30 pm local time. Tromsø was cloudy and Simon mentioned that we’d probably be driving all the way to Finland for clear skies. We stopped a few times along the way to check for clear skies and once to use the facilities at a truck stop. Once in Finland, Simon and Dominic parked the minibus and led us to a frozen, snow-covered lake. The aurora developed slowly over the next two hours and bursted into a spectacular show that lasted for another hour!
Simon is very knowledgeable about the northern lights. Dominic is an excellent driver and I felt safe during the long ride in wintry conditions. This trip would be challenging (and likely unenjoyable) for those with mobility issues and children.

This was my fourth consecutive night of Aurora chasing under what seemed at first like poor conditions. Each excursion was with a different company, and all turned out spectacularly, with major light displays. Yet Northern Horizon had the edge for several reasons. First, Harry the Aurora Whisperer delivered professionalism and knowledge with a charming personal touch. Second, the driver Sebastian was quick with extra help when I needed that (got me into warm boots just in time—my own weren’t holding up as well as previous nights!). I wasn’t sure a campfire and cookout would be a big plus—wouldn’t we just get stuck in a location that might not pan out? But Harry chose carefully, and in the end, we maximized prime viewing time while minimizing time on the road. Tops!

Me with my mom and sister had the Northern Lights tour with Herman, he was amazing ! Very enthusiastic and dedicated, and he set up a great atmosphere! we also saw the Northern Lights too ! He was so good at photographing, 10/10 totally recommend!

Harry was great guide!! And we saw the northern lights all night. He’s took us to a spot where there was no other tour groups around, which helped with us seeing the northern lights. He was a great photographer and highly knowledgeable about the local culture, northern lights, and the entire night sky.

Fantastic excursion, tour guide and driver. Prior to leaving for the tour I was nervous about being able to see the Northern Lights as the Tromso area was covered in clouds and was experiencing light rain. However, Max our tour guide had no trouble getting us to several sites with great viewing. He provided excellent information on the aurora. Many great photos were taken by the group as well as professional ones provided to us by Max. After several sites with wonderful viewing we were treated to reindeer sausages around a camp fire. Highly recommend this tour!!

We had a great time, Hermann our guide was excellent in finding the place and Wojtek the pilot allowed us to get to the site first to enjoy the nature show, despite the weather conditions that were far from favorable.

They evicted us from the tour with bad manners because they said that our reservation had not been completed by the travel agency. We had a confirmation of the reservation and showed it to them, to no avail. It was so humiliating. Never go with them, there are far better options…
They have 5 in google, because they eliminate all negative comments. Don’t trust google either. I tried to make a comment on google to warn other people and was eliminated.

Harry as our tour guide and Sebastian our driver were dedicated to our success in the lights chase and our safety. Harry was great explaining the science, laced with anecdotes of Norwegian folklore. Such an engaging tour guide, I did not mind a bit returning home at 3:27 am. Every minute was a joy, his shared pictures with us will be a lifetime memory.

Hi, What is the likelihood (understand this is difficult to predict) to catch the lights during last week of March? The days are longer so concerned whether its worth waiting until next year or its not an issue.

This is hard to predict. I can only recommend to check on the internet. There are many places which show the likelyhood as well as the best region. That's why we picked Feb. I can also strongly recommend to use a guide as we tried on our own with no success. He knows the best places, where to drive best within the region and the current weather. Without him, we would still hunt with no success on our own.

Hello northern horizon provided thermal suits and boots for the whole time the vehicle was stopped and was not cold at all

When I booked with them I tried a couple of times on there website, eventually I booked using the link on trip advisor.
