The trip exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide/driver, Trond, made this experience truly unique and fun. His depth of knowledge was impressive. The pacing of the tour was perfect - we had enough time to explore each site without feeling rushed. Plus, the group size was just right, allowing for a more personalized experience.
Trond prepared yummy local snacks(lefsa) for us. We got tasted Norwegian soft ice cream at Troll shop too.

A really well organised trip. Starting with very clear instructions to find the guide. Laminated information sheet outlining the plan for the day and details about each stop including which have restroom facilities. Our guide made the day fun with lots of interesting facts as we went along. Fantastic scenery and we were lucky with good weather. A small lunch was provided along with hot drinks which were very welcome. Definitely recommended.

You have to look for the orange beach flag when checking in.
Straight forward from the main cruise gate, 100 meter.

We booked through Get your Guide and it was really easy to book and there was clear instructions for meeting our tour. Our tour started near the port, only a short walk over the bridge from where we docked. Our tour guide was very informative along the way giving us lots of useful information about the history of Norway and the trolls. Our trip went through some very scenic parts stopping off along the way for short breaks and photo stops. Some of these stops were a bit rushed and felt it would of been more enjoyable with a little bit more time. We stopped at a gorge for a coffee break - the cinnamon buns here were amazing!!A must try! Our stop before the amazing winding road down was spectacular. The walk up to look down over the road was something else and definitely one to do. There is a fair amount of walking so you need to be quite able to manage it all. The drive down is breathtaking - it's quite something - even looking back up at the other traffic heading down. Our last stop was at the troll wall which was nice. Overall a great day out - personally I think you need longer at some of these stops but we are so glad we did the tour and got to see some amazing scenery.

We have limited time to show you some of the best places. And we are responsible for being back in Ålesund on time.
Always difficult to choose which places to stop and how long to stop as well.

Trond is a brilliant guide tour and driver. The tour last 6 hours and sum up all the amazing sites around alesund.

This was a great tour and perfectly timed for us. We really loved getting to see some wonderful sites leading up to Trollstigen and even enjoyed a delicious mini lunch. Everything was well planned out and communicated, the minibus very comfortable and the driver very engaging. Great tour and amazing to see the views at Trollstigen!

Absolutely fabulous. Amazing trip, some of the best views in Norway. Highly recommend. Only one negative, no toilet break for a long time, which was rectified once we asked.

Unfortunately, toilet situation is not good enough in Norway in general. But, they setting up new ones every year. Hopefully, we will have more available toilets soon.

Just book this tour…the price is great, the tour guide (Nihls) was great, the scenery was great, and we had a great time. Tour stayed on time, and we were back with plenty of time to get back on the ship. We even got a lovely little snack that we included. There are plenty of places to get other food if you want, and several stops where you can use the toilet if needed.

We spent 10 days exploring the fjords of the West coast of Norway. The Trollstigen tour was 1 of the highlights of our trip. I was initially skeptical about taking a 6 hour 40 minute tour. However, the natural beauty observed on this tour rivaled any other activity we did while in Norway. Our tour guide, Trond, was both informative and humorous. I had a few questions prior to our trip that were answered promptly by e-mail. He kept us on a tight schedule which was appreciated as we needed to get back to the cruise ship by a certain time. The road itself is one of the prettiest roads on which I have ever travelled. I recommend this tour without reservation.

Is this tour taken in a large tour bus of 60 to 70 people or a smaller one with 8 to 10 people? If it is a large bus do you know of any tours in and around Alesund that use the smaller buses? Thank you. Julia

We are using a bus with 46 seats on this trip.
We may also offer trips with minibus or a VAN for up to 6 passengers to Trollstigen. The VAN is NOK 1.000 per hour for the whole group.
