The trip was advertised as an all weather one; but the rest of the group did not want to do it.
I was then pressured me into not doing it .
I was made to feel it would be unfair to leave the rest of the group at the hike start point while I alone did the trip.
I was told, even at this point, we could do an alternate hike. What actually happened was us looking at google maps to see what else might be doable.
This took another hour: it was after midday by the time a plan was settled on: this was a 3km walk along the valley floor, after which we drove to where lunch was, before then driving all the way back.
Essentially I was made to stay on a trip I had been pressured to adapt for others, while no vaguely acceptable alternative was put in place. As a result I spent over seven hours in a van for the sake of a less than one hour walk.
That the one hiker willing to do the trip as advertised could be both pressured like this, then provided such a substandard alternative is completely unacceptable. If there is a chance the hike cannot go ahead, this should be made clear: it is not. In the event this might occur there should be contingencies: there were not.
My refund request was turned down and the CEO, who was keen to chat when he hoped I might re-book, has since ignored my correspondence.

The hike was great. The last view was amazing. Our guide Helga was the best, she was super kind and made the hike very enjoyable. She talks about to many regional details. She also explain us a lot about the Sami culture. The hike was not as difficult as I expected. I totally recommend to go to this hike and take her a a guide. We take Oregon her dog to the hike and he was a great plus in the day ❤️

This was the best hike of my life, and all the effort to climb the trail was worth it. The guide Hege is very attentive, with a great sense of humor and friendliness, she explains everything during the trail during rest periods and was always willing to help and give tips on the most difficult sections. This combination of nature and the sensational guide made this trail an unforgettable trip.

Shawn our guide was amazing and we had a diverse group, everyone was accommodating and looked out for each other. He also took us to another amazing spot aside the Kjeragbolten. Only area of improvement is communication as we could not reach them after waiting for pick up for a while, we almost went back to the room.

Guide was impatient and rude. He sent 3 of the 8 people back after 1 hour. I am a 35 year old who runs marathons and completed serious international hikes. He insisted I stop hiking. I had to sit in the waiting area for 5 hours. Worst experience ever. Guide didn’t give any assistance to anyone on the hike. He was unpleasant and rude. For example, he kept cursing (even in the car.)

Lets start by how the operator was extremely unprofessional and has gut to cancel a trip 20 minutes before the pick up time. I understand if the guide was sick but it is your problem to handle and not me. I came specifically for this trip and was perfectly ruined while you are hiding behind the screen. TripAdvisor should have action to protect its customers from such lousy operators.

I highly recommend this hike to everyone. It is very challenging but worth it! The guide was very patient and helpful, the view for the whole hike was breathtaking.

Hello,
I am 66 y old man, with back surgery 5.5 years ago. I am in a decent physical condition, no heart problem, no lung problem and I exercise regularly: I walk daily for about 6Km, I go on the stationery bike about 1 hour daily and I am not overweight. Do you think I can give it a try, it is my dream to be able to achieve such a hike??!! I am talking about Kjeragbolten of course.
Do you have a one-on-one guided tour? for extra fee of course?
Is there a way to test whether I can do it? and did anyone in a similar condition make the hike, I would love to hear from anyone who has helpful hints, and please do not be shy in telling me what you think. Thank You
