Exceptional and beautiful

What an awesome family/whanau company. We booked the self guided kayak tour then the weather didn't look great. Johan kept in touch in the days leading up and gave us a second and third option rather than just let us down. We chose the 10KM walk and then the guided tour back. It was stunning and Tom our guide, who has only been in NZ less than 4 years, was so knowledgeable about the area and history. Could not recommend these guys more. Thank you so much for making this an amazing day.

Niet zoals gepland maar toch een fijne dag.
De kayaktour ging niet als gepland vanwege sterke opkomende wind. Gids Tom heeft na ruim een uur zwoegen tegen de wind in de tocht gestaakt en we hebben de tocht te voet afgemaakt. Veel extra info over de streek meegekregen.

That was loads of fun!

Such legends the team at R&R. We are so grateful for this beautiful day out on the kayaks! Our guide Tom was so knowledgeable and is such a great person!! The provided equipment is in excellent shape and I felt really safe at all times. Thanks for making our day on the water so interesting and fun!!! When we are back in Marahau, we can't wait to go on another tour with you guys. Cheers and all the best!

R and R Kayak the only company you should use!
We decided we wanted to kayak last minute. I emailed many places but they wouldn’t book online within 24 hours. Rohan immediately responded to my email, with a “ not to worry, we can help!” He went over many options of what we could do, and where we could go. We ended up hiking 6 miles to Observation Cove where there were kayaks and a guide waiting for us. Lucas, our guide was not only kind, and engaging but extremely knowledgeable. We had a lovely 3 hour kayak back to a warm shower, and all our belongings laid out for us on a table. R and R has tip top equipment which we saw soaked and cleaned when we finished. It was a lovely day! (

We did the kayak back to Marahau on our last day of the hike instead of walking. It was a nice change from walking though still got an hour of steps in with the hill from Anchorage to Observation bay. Rohan was amazing and organised everything with ease even with our last minute changes. Tom our guide was so welcoming and knowledgeable plus did most of the work with our shared kayak. Thanks for a great afternoon. I would highly recommend.

We had such a great trip - from booking over email with Rohan, super helpful and accomodating, to the well set up operation/headquarters, great guide full of interesting knowledge, coffee on the beach, good gear and such a relaxing way to start our trip. Thanks so much for having us. Fully recommend.

Southern Duo with R&R Kayaks
We did the Southern Duo trip. We booked last minute and the team were very accomodating to assist us! We did the hike first, which was great, and met our guide, Tom, at the beach. We then had a lovely time on the water with Tom, and excellent guide! Would definately recommend this team!

3 DAY FREEDOM KAYAKING AND HIKING

Amazing experience kayaking and hiking Abel Tasman. We booked the three day freedom kayaking and walk. We stayed at Te pukatea the first night, one issue with the map that's on the kayak, it shows a beach before Te pukatea that maybe can be seen when the tide is out but it can't be seen when we kayaked so we ended up going as far as Anchorage and just walked 20 min back to Te pukatea which wasn't that bad.
Bring loads of snacks we ran out so quick it's a big workout especially the mad mile. I'd recommend starting as early as possible in the morning while the wind is calm, we left at 11:00a.m and hit the winds coming against us on the mad mile, it was pretty narly to say the least!
We booked the trip with Rohan. He was super helpful when booking, even organised the water taxi to bring our camping gear back on our last day so we didn't have to carry it for the hike which was a game changer and got my runners back to me when I left them on the water taxi, legend. Brett also was a real cool dude got us setup and running in no time and reminded me to bring some beer and stopped at the off license on the way to get some! I will definitely be sending my friends that are planning to go down soon to R&R by far the best priced and the best guys to look after you. Couldn't recommend R&R enough, excellent service we will definitely be back again with them. Cheers for the awesome trip lads.
