Guide was amazing could have used more time saw alll the things we wanted to see Rome is. Truly beautiful tour was on time getting us back to our pickup location

Tour today went very well. Our guide was very cultured and knowledgeable and made sure we all made it back in good time despite the intense heat and the jostling crowds. He looked after the youngest and oldest on our group, taking time to talk to a young boy and also to make sure an older lady got on OK. We loved our tour of Rome, following the blue unicorn beacon, and learned lots. Cast our coins in the fountain, so we will be back!

We have visited nearly 90 countries and Civitatours are the worst travel company we have encountered by far. They left us stranded in Rome, at least 60 miles from our cruise ship, with not enough money to get a taxi or train!
On the tour Panoramic customers were treated like 2nd class citizens, given a barely readable map and, after free time, expected to meet at a ridiculous meeting point whereby you had to go down lots of little backstreets of Rome to get there.
When we realised we would be late for the bus we phoned their emergency telephone number and asked them to pick us up at a bridge 10-15 minutes coach ride from the meeting point. But they insisted we meet at the meeting point, even though the bus would have gone by the time we got there.
In the end we were stranded in Rome, very nearly missed our cruise ship departure and had to get a 150 euro taxi fare back to our cruise ship and pay when we got there.
Since then the company has refused to refund our taxi fare and basically said it was all our fault. Very classy, not!

The tour was described as follows: Vatican City; Pyramid of Cestius, the Papal Archbasilica of St John in Lateran, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus and the Mouth of Truth, Theatre of Marcellus, up to Venice Square and the Trevi Fountain up until the Pantheon, concluding at the Piazza Navona. The tour itself was great - our guide was super knowledgeable.
The part that I have an issue with is that, once on the bus, staff indicated that the Colosseum was not included in the price we had paid, and that we had to pay an additional 10 euros ($15 CAD), cash only, per person, in order to view the Colosseum. Otherwise we would have to stay on the bus. That would result in missing all the remaining portion of the tour.
That was an extra $60 for the 4 of us. I feel like we were scammed by the staff on the bus, as we had no choice.
When I contacted the company, they indicated that the visit to the Colosseum on foot was an optional extra, but that we could have gotten off to take some photos without paying the extra fee. That does not make any sense, however, as the entire rest of the tour was on foot.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. It seems like they are trying to mislead me.

The tour guide Andrea was SUPER RUDE he was practically running through the tour and there were elderly people that were part of the group that couldn't keep up. I paid for a spainsh speaking tour and he was speaking French the entire time and said if I don't understand, I would have to pay an additional 10 Euros for a translator radio. Before getting to the site, he said we would have 45 minutes of free time to tour, buy souvenirs, take picture ect but when we got there, he said we only get 25 minutes. I asked if I had time to buy a bag at the gift shop he said yes, when I went inside the giftshop he decided not to wait he took rollcall of the people that were there and started leaving the site.

The meeting instructions are misleading which caused us missed the meeting point. Its number is never working. Then the on-site staff is not willing to help when it is not their tour.
After we joined the group finally in Rome. We figured out the reason. The tour was not well organized from the beginning and there were too many people in one group. Tourists were even in a conflict for the bus seats due to the confusing instructions.
It would be better to avoid this tour by Civita Tours designated by Tripadvisor although it looks like the biggest tour agency locally. Otherwise, you could have many “surprises” during this tour.

Civita Tour un recorrido q te muestra lo hermoso de la ciudad de Roma ,no recuerdo el nombre de nuestro guia pero el da catedra del tema ,nombra monumentos y lugares que hacen realmente interesante el recorrido. Este tour se puede tomar muy fácilmente, hay un bus gratis que te transporta gratis del barco al sitio de abordaje del bus turístico
El personal de Civitatours es muy amable y puntual con las horas de salida y regreso.

Visite complète et très intéressante .
Dommage que notre guide ai été désagréable lorsque nous lui avons demandé poliment de traduire en français ( alors qu’à la base nous avons payé une prestation en français ) pensant qu’il avait omis de le faire ….. il nous a carrément envoyé promener … ça a un peu gâché notre visite et nous l’avons terminée en surfant sur nos téléphone pour avoir les explications … attitude du guide pas très professionnelle dans la mesure où il n’y a eu aucune agressivité de notre part .
Sinon , très bonne organisation et retour dans les temps pour rejoindre notre bateau .

Nosotros llegamos a Vivitavechia en el MSC a las 7:00 am, entiendo que el autobús sale desde el puerto, es correcto ?
Y el barco Sarpa a las 6:00 pm, el tour te regresa al puerto y a qué hora?

El tour esta bien para dar un paseo por Roma. Al bajar del crucero un bus gratuito te lleva hasta la zona del puerto (parking) de los tours. Hay muchas opciones de tours en el parking para contratar allí mismo. Los precios son muy parecidos, así que la opción de contratar con antelación merece la pena. Creo recordar que salimos bien de tiempo. Hubo una media hora de espera para la salida y el regreso también fue de una media hora antes de que zarpara el crucero. No hay problema , pero depende del tráfico que haya ese día de la semana en Roma. El traslado es de una hora por trayecto . Sin duda un paseo panorámico por la ciudad con la ventaja de que el bus te lleva de un lado a otro, cosa que a pie sería imposible. El único inconveniente que le vi al tour fue que nos dejara tiempo largo para visitar el Vaticano, cosa que si vas sin visita guiada es imposible de hacer la cola para entrar a ver la catedral San Pedro . Ofrecen comprar las entradas para entrar al Vaticano con visita guiada en el trayecto en bus hacia Roma. Merece la pena!

Der Bus von mein Schiff hält direkt am Busbahnhof wo auch der Reisebus nach Rom steht,die Leute von dem Busunternehmen haben gelbe Pullover an,echt läuft ganz easy ab...
We finishing our NCL cruise in Rome on September 20th. We could like to do this tour and then make our own way to the hotel in the evening. What locations does the bus stop at? Can we leave the tour with our luggage when we are at the Pantheon? This area is closest to our hotel. Thank you!

No. En Civitatis los niños pagan menos. Consúltalo en la página. Pero nos ofrecieron la visita al Vaticano aparte y creo que hasta 7 u 8 años es gratis. Nuestros mellizos tienen 10 así que pagaron como adultos.
We visit Rome on a Sunday when the Vatican is closed. What do you do about that? Do you offer underground tours at the Colosseum? Our cruise leaves the port at 7pm, do you offer the guarantee where you get us to the next port if the ship leaves without us if we are late??
