Very helpful staff. Bus left on time and was very comfortable. Just what we had hoped. Certainly recommend to anyone arriving on a cruise ship and wanting to go to Rome centre.

Trip from port to Rome was very slick and easy with the port courtesy bus dropping you right next to bus pickup point. Also very helpful lady on hand to assist. Sadly the map was woefully inadequate for the return bus stop from the Vatican stop and almost missed the bus because of it. If the maps were improved would be a great service.

No problem finding the bus with the driver answering my phone and helping us. Dropped in Rome at the bus station, 2 metro stops from the Colliseum. 4 hours in Rome, picked up from drop off location. Highly recommend.

Beautiful train route, sometimes very close to the sea. Civitavecchia is a small, friendly town. You can eat well and walk through numerous old streets. There is a huge sculpture of a kissing couple on the beach promenade. Worth seeing. Anyone who likes shopping will also find what they are looking for in many smaller shops; But be careful: it's a siesta until around 4 p.m. and therefore almost everything is closed.

We arrived at the Civitavecchia port and there was no bus. We waited from about 09h05 to about 09h45 .They did not let us know that the bus was cancelled. Fortunately there was a private taxi that had place for us to take us to the main sites in Rome and back. Apparently this happens often and this is why the owner of the taxi looks out for people who book the bus. If only we had listened to him when we arrived at the port when he told us at the bus will not come, then we would have left the port about 09h15 and not 10h00 which would have given us more time to spend in Rome
Just make sure that the bus is not cancelled before you arrive at the port.
We requested a refund from S.I.T bus shuttle and had no problems getting the refund

Our service will be available from March. Reservations are currently blocked.
We don’t know why viator allowed you to book a trip. there’s probably a mistake on the portal, we’ll do some checking. We’re sorry but it’s not our fault! In our experience this has never happened and we do not know the behavior of taxi drivers...

Got off the ship and took the port's shuttle bus from ship to the place where all buses seem to meet. Found the ticket seller for our tour bus after asking anyone with a clipboard. We were given our return ticket, told where to wait, which wasn't for long at all. Comfortable trip into Rome with hardly any traffic. Stopped at a great location near The Vatican. Again the driver told us where to wait for the return later on in the day. All in all great experience getting into Rome. Come the return journey we waited where we were told, again there was a ticket seller around who showed us to the bus when it arrived. We were the only people going back to the Port that day so had the bus to ourselves. The driver said we had a whole big bus just for us. Again, uneventful journey back and next minute we're near the port and getting off the bus. The shuttle bus was waiting in the same place to take us back to ship. The whole experience was a breeze, the ticket sellers and driver were so friendly and helpful, and all for a very cheap price. The ship itself was doing a return trip which dropped off and picked up but that was four times the price. We would definitely use this service again.

Bus sat for 40 minutes before starting with no attempt by driver or colleague to explain why. Strike 2. On top of that, we discovered during the 1-1/2 hour that the bathroom is off limits to us peasants. Strike 2. But I guess you can’t complain too much for $50 euro per couple. Uber was clocking in at $250.

Bus was late leaving by 15 minutes which added 30 minutes in traffic. We were a hour late to Roma.
On the way back it was the same thing.
Good: bus can accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Bad: bus takes longer than the train and takes time away from visiting Roma. There are only one trip out and back, if you miss it you’re SOL.

Al though the train would have been faster, cheaper and departs frequently, the bus allows you to see the countryside and steers of Rome. Two stops one near the Vatican and the other at the Train Terminal.

Bis très facile. A trouver après avoir été conduit hors des quais de croisière. Idem pour le retour très bien indiqué avec la remise du plan pour repéré ou se situe le bus de transfert a Rome. 2 arrêt possible indépendant. Je suis arrivé au Vatican et retour depuis Rome Termini ce qui a permis de profiter de la journée entre les 2 station pour visiter à pied. Bus confortable wifi approximative mais comptez plutôt 1h30 de trajet le matin avec les bouchons.

Yes. You can select when you wish to go there and to return. You can buy each leg online or you can purchase at the bus.

We are landing via Azamara Pursuit on Aug 3.19.
This seems to be the best way to get to Termini. Would like more clarification where to get the bus at the port.

When you depart the free shuttle inside the cruise docks area, exit out, you will see public restrooms on your left, an office place in front of you, turn right and you walk towards the McDonald's sign mounted on a wall. At that street, turn right and the bus stops at the first corner you will see. The stop is very short distance. There is also a train that runs from Civitacecchi to Rome if that seems maybe a simpler option. Taxi fares can vary greatly depending on how busy they are on a given day.
