Leesa and Fabio were the best hosts. So welcoming to us in their home. The apertifs were excellent, lots to eat, great instructions with a gift to take home. A great experience!!

this experience was cancelled by the vendor without notifying me of the change. my request for a full refund of all monies paid prior to attending was made immediately. the vendor, curiioseety, refunded 1/2 of my full payment made and has yet to refund the remaining 1/2. three more request for a refund have been made, to no avail. TripAdvisor has not been able to assist me in this issue. i have been robbed of over $250 still due after over 1 month of neglect.

Dear costumer , thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we STRONGLY reject your FALSE allegation. We sent you the meeting point via message and you also confirmed you understood. Then you went to WRONG meeting point. We are happy to proof it as the messages are sent through Viator.
MOREOVER as a sign of GOODWILL we accepted to refund you the 50% even if you WERE NOT entitled to that.
Please next time think twice before writing FALSE REVIEWS.

We had booked this experience directly with curioseety on their website. My wife was looking forward to this experience the most during our stay in Lecce. We went to the meeting place and found no one. We looked through all our emails in case something was sent announcing a change or anything of the sort. After reaching out to Curioseety, we were informed the operator forgot about this booking. Unfortunately this was towards the end of our stay and we could not reschedule. I understand things happen but communicating this to your clients is key. We did get a prompt refund which we appreciate but I don't appreciate the response my wife's review received where it was claimed they tried to call and contact us because the host had covid. No one called or emailed, believe me that we would understand and would not have been waiting at night under the gate for 30 minutes wondering what is going on. Attached is a picture of the response we got after we reached out to Curioseety.

We booked this experience weeks in advance. It was one of the experiences I was most looking forward to in Italy. We go to the meeting place in the confirmation email, wait around for 25 minutes and no one shows. We finally get ahold of someone and we're told that the host completely forgot about our booking. We were asked if we could reschedule, but it was the end of our trip so we couldn't. We did get a refund in a timely manner which is something, but doesn't make up for the loss of this experience that I was really excited about.
Based on previous reviews and my experience, this company seems very unreliable. I would definitely book with a different company.

The pasta making class we took in Lecce was one of our favorite memories from our 2 weeks in Italy. Lisa and Fabio welcome you into their home for an evening of wine, pasta, laughter, and shared cultures. We made new friends and are so excited to try and recreate the pasta dishes with Lisa’s recipes! This wasn’t just another touristy cooking class, it was such a genuine experience with a couple that truly enjoys sharing their traditions and the history of Puglia with their guests. Book this - you won’t regret it! If we are ever lucky enough to make it back to Lecce, we will definitely see Lisa and Fabio!

DO NOT BOOK THIS. I booked this for my parents after going through the reviews extensively and seeing mostly great things about people getting to learn how to cook appetizers, pasta, meat, and dessert in someone's home. I did see one review mentioning it ended up being a different experience, but I figured it was a mix up.
It was expensive at 90 per person, and my mom was looking forward to learning the meat cooking specifically as that is so unique for a tourist cooking . The day of, a random number that is different from the number listed in our confirmation sent her a whatsapp message saying the meeting location has changed to a restaurant called La Strada del Vino, Wine Bistrot on Via Matteotti 23A, in Lecce and the time changed from 5:00 to 5:30. My mom called and let me know in passing, but I recalled the below review and asked her to send them a message.
We sent a specific message directly asking if this was a different course: "Hi I booked and paid for "traditional home cooking experience in Lecce" which is supposed to be in a masseria, why did the meeting point change? Is this a different course than the one I paid for? In the course I booked, we are supposed to craft a full dinner menu including appetizer, pasta, meat, and dessert"
The person responded with "Is the same cooking class". My parents drove an hour and 45 min from Polignano a Mare to Lecce to take this course, and they were so excited as it's one of their few and last activities in Italy. My mom doesn't drink wine at all, so when they showed up to the new location, they quickly realized this was a completely different course, the same as mentioned in the review below. Here is the course they are actually sending people to: "Orechiette Cooking Class and Wine Tasting in Lecce." This one is 60 dollars per person, so they are essentially cheating people out of 30 dollars per person and blatantly lying when directly asked about the change.
I have never written a bad review in my life, I'm in my mid 20s and pretty savvy when it comes to travel bookings, doing my due diligence with every single tour and class to make sure it's an authentic and real experience. My parents haven't travelled alone for 20 years and this was their first trip solo so I was even more diligent with the planning here. My mom is so extremely disappointed that this happened. When they called the number on Whatsapp, the lady told them that she didn't have any idea what the 4-course class was and that there is one in Polignano a Mare. We have asked for a refund because my mom literally doesn't drink so the course is useless to her. Whether it is poor planning on the tour company's end or just a total scam, I don't know, but it definitely feels like a scam to us. If they had told us the location change before literally the morning of, I would have 100% planned a different course for my mom, but now it's too late and it was a complete waste of time.
I can't say enough how disappointed and frustrated I am. Pick a different course, literally anything else other than this one.

Lisa and Flavio are great hosts. They welcomed us into their home like old friends. We enjoyed the lessons of pasta making - its more difficult than it looks! Then we enjoyed a wonderful meal with lovely wines and great conversation.

Did the booking for the home cooking experience, 2 days in advance - paid and received confirmation (ref 925791066) - 3 adults at €267
Received an email a day later indicating that the meeting point has changed and when we arrived there tonight it was a different tour (pasta making and wine tasting at a restaurant) - this tour is available (Orecchiette Cooking Class and Wine tasting at €67 per person (about €200 for the group) - we paid for a different tour and the organisers received and accepted payment for a tour they did not deliver -

Not only did we learn how to make two types of pasta, but we were welcomed into Lisa and Fabio's home as if we were long lost friends that needed all night to catch up.
I arranged for this class for our second night in the Puglia region. My goal was to meet with locals who could share with my family the local traditions, foods, and must-see sights from a perspective other than a guide book.
There were five in our group. Me, my wife, two college age daughters and a 16 year old quiet (shy) boy. Lisa gave us skillful guidance and Fabio was an excellent coach for my son. He patiently walked him through the precise method of rolling out orechetti and macaroncini pastas. By the end of the cooking, my boy was an enthusiast.
We talked to them about the history of Puglia, local places to check out, music, art, and surfing.
If we return to Puglia, I would happily pay for this time all over, just to share their company.
Appetizers, wine, pasta, and dessert, were all amazing.
Highly recommend.

We received a warm welcome and were introduced to several kinds of pasta. The local food, combined with fine wines, tasted delicious.

Hi there, we are visiting Lecce from 10th to 19th June and would love to take part in your cooking class. I have a problem with my breathing and get breathless walking around too far or up hills/stairs, will this be a problem? We are staying at Canne Bianche in Torre Canne. Thanks
