We had an amazing time at the olive oil farm! I know Giacomo's grandparents would be so very proud of all he is doing with the farm! The olive oil is so good!!

In fact I decided to take care about the olive trees with a big respect of my grandparents hard work in the olive groves.
Olive trees have a very long life, cross generations bringing with them memories from the past.

We learned so much about the olive oil that Giacomo produces. We were very impressed with the self sustainability of this eco-friendly business. Gianlucca was our friendly and informative tour guide. And the olive oil produced is divine!

I’ve visited this place twice over the last couple of years, and both visits have been fantastic experiences. The owner’s passion for and knowledge about organic olive oil production is truly inspiring, and walking among the olive trees while the church bells in the surrounding villages toll is almost magical. And… they have the best tasting (and probably also the healthiest) olive oil I’ve ever had.

Excellent tour of Giacamo’s olive grove, with a really lovely tour guide. It was an eye opening and informative tour about how olive oil is made, and how it should taste. It was also really exiting to hear about Giacomo’s production, true passion. The tasting was also very interesting, and the taste was amazing.

It was really interesting to learn about the organic ways of growing, harvesting and processing the olives. The tasting at the end was also a real eye opener for how olive oil should really taste!
It was also very clear how much passion Giacomo put into his farm to produce the best possible olive oil.

Super interesting tour of a family-run organic Olive Grove, passed down for generations. This Olive Grove utilizes sustainable farming techniques to produce quality organic olive oil rich in polyphenols. The tour includes walking through the Olive trees in a stunningly beautiful Tuscan setting of rolling hills and row after row of olive trees.
The owners are passionate about their work to produce the best olive oil. The tastings after the tour was an education on how to taste and determine quality olive oils, and showed the excellent quality produced here. The olive tea was also amazing.
A very unique experience in Tuscany, highly recommend!

En rigtig fin aftentur i smukke omgivelser og med en fantastisk udsigt over byen. Olivenolie produceren fortalte entusiastisk om fremstillingen af sin økologiske olivenolie, og hvordan han bruger naturlige midler til at bekæmpe fluerne, som ødelægger høsten. Vi fik indblik i det hårde arbejde, der ligger bag produktionen, og hvor en stor del foregår med håndkraft på stejle skråninger. Efterfølgende smagte vi på forskellige sorter af olivenolie, og smagen var utrolig ren og fin. Pedere sender over hele verden, så jeg glæder mig til at købe en flaske, når han har ny høst klar.
Hjemturen foregik med togbanen Funicolore, hvor vi nød solen gå ned over byen.
Husk fornuftige sko.

My husband and I took this tour with our daughter and her boyfriend.
Giacomo is a true artisan, as well as an extremely hard-working farmer.
He was very informative regarding the process of how to create his product, and the olive oil industry. It was just the four of us on the tour. Which was great because it gave us an opportunity to ask questions.
Be prepared to hike up and down the hills of Tuscany. Wear comfortable shoes.

This tour was excellent. Giacomo was a fantastic guide and showed us the olive grove and the methods he uses to produce such an excellent and authentic product. We got to taste many of the locally produced oils, and even got instructions from an expert as to what to look for, and how to spot lower quality oils.
Giacomo is an expert third generation olive oil producer, and has so much knowledge to share. We were blown way by the amount of work it requires to produce a REAL authentic, top quality oil!! We were also lucky enough to be able to purchase some to take home, but we had to ask! Giacomo is so humble and takes so much pride in his work. He never even asked us if we wanted to buy some. If you’re into olive oil, or a foodie of sort, DO NOT MISS this experience!!

What time do the tours begin? How far is the grove from the funicular?

As far as I know there’s no set time for the tour we scheduled directly with Giacomo. The walk took us about 10 or 15 minutes from the funicular

We will have a car service driving us to and from the Olive Grove for our tour at 10 am. Should we plan to eat lunch in this area / town, is there much available for lunch options? Or should we bring a picnic lunch?
Otherwise we would have the driver pick us up at 12:00 and return us to Florence.

I would say there are limited options close to the grove. You’d have to either walk all the way up the hill (not THAT far) to see what’s there or down the block to the one restaurant close. Montecatini Terme will have many more options.
You’ll love the tour. It’s pretty authentic. Wear good hiking shoes.
