Anne was a great guide - very animated, very knowledgeable, and always putting the guests’ interests first. The boat ride was nice, but the speaker on the boat trip needs to change his narrative. I listened to the French because it is impossible to listen to the English version on the headphones while he is speaking. He made a lot of jokes that even the native French speakers did not get, and a lot of them were political jokes. That is totally inappropriate for a vacation tour with tourists of several nationalities. Loved Beynac and la Roque-Gageac. Enjoyed Domme, but we did not have enough time there. All in all, the tour and our guide Anne were top notch, and I realize they have no control over the narrator on the boat, but perhaps Ophorus could make him aware of the discomfort he causes.

After seeing positive reviews I contacted them to ask about private or small group tours. I was expecting something similar to my highly successful experience with Context Tours in Italy.
This experience was terrible. Marion was slow to respond. She kept trying to treat my friend and I as a couple going so far as to book us in one room and sending me a single bill though we repeatedly told her we were two individuals who required individual bills and separate rooms. She insisted on booking our hotel in Sarlat but screwed around until we had no lodging options except for a tour group hotel that was very basic. It turns out she booked us for a series of their standard daily tours rather than helping us plan something special. The guide was okay, nothing special, and frankly we saw more interesting things on our own than they arranged. The total cost of the tour and hotel were far higher than the value provided. It is very easy to plan a better experience for yourself than to rely on Ophorus.

For the second time passing through this village, with as much pleasure in wandering there, and seeing this English artist again, hiding in the attic, to find him he will be in this old and magnificent building facing the church, you will be surprised .

Anne gave us a lovely introduction to the villages in the area and their history. Super viewpoints across the river valley and an enjoyable boat trip on the Dordogne, where we learnt about historic trade on the river. Everyone in our group was friendly.
Beynac is quite a steep descent by foot from the top. Less mobile people might want to travel back down in the vehicle.

Lovely trip through 3 typical villages, each with something unique to it. Ann was a great guide and driver. My main issue had to do with the boat ride. It was all in French and while we were given Audio guides, what we heard was completely different and not at all current compared to what the tour guide was saying. I understand enough French to know the difference and the experience was very disappointing.

We had a great trip with Ann!
She was extremely helpful, friendly, very knowledgeable guide!
She answered all our questions and even gave us some tips for our next trips in the area. She is also an excellent driver!
This trip was very pleasant, it covered 2 major historical sights and a boat ride on Dordogne river.
I would recommend this trip ( and Ann ) to everyone!

Ben was a great guide and very knowledgeable. The mix of villages was very interesting with some great views of the Dordogne valley from the high points. The hour on the boat ride was a great way to chill for a bit while taking in the views and information from a different perspective

This trip ses The highlighting of olur Southwest France. Our guide - Ben- was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. Our group of 8 had a great time exploring the jewels of cities along the route and learning from and exchanging information with our guide. I would recommend this tour and it’s organizers. Best experience overall !

This was a wonderful tour! Full of fascinating history and beautiful views. Our guide, Martin, was superb. As a historian, he is very knowledgeable and willing to share his expertise on a variety of topics. Thoroughly enjoyable experience!
