Nice Sunday afternoon experience on an autumn day. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Noisy group on board made it hard to hear all of it. Otherwise great.

Very interesting even in the rain.comfy with on board toilet,teas and coffees.How things have changed over the years.Lovely way to spend a hour.

A very informative boat trip along the canal at Skipton. The commentary was excellent and entertaining. Looking forward to our fish and chip cruise later this year. Staff are very helpful.

Really enjoyed our time on the canel. I was a little worried after reading some reviews after I’d booked our trip. As other reviewers have said the commentary is a recording and so doesn’t match with what can be seen from the boat, however, it is interesting and entertaining so I didn’t feel this was an issue at all. It was a relaxing hour.

Got there at 11 a, freezing cold like Siberia no covered boats all booked up waste of time visiting Skipton nothing else to do boring cold dark miserable place

Booked a 1 hour canal trip today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Once booked we received a text message with all the details and a link to find the place.
The boat was lovely with lots of seat that have little tables you can pull down.
My son, who is 4, was extremely excited and really enjoyed it - he was sad when we had to get off.
During the trip there was commentary with lots of knowledge about Skipton and the surrounding areas. There was a range of drinks and snacks available to buy on the boat that were priced very reasonably.
We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic trip up and down the canal. Running commentary and history lesson from on board was hilarious. Friendly and courteous staff. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent value and a beautiful way to view Skipton from the water. The commentary was hilarious and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It was so nice to sit down and enjoy the peaceful cruise down the canal. We would definitely recommend it.

Had a grand day out recently in Skipton. It’s a very clean town with friendly people everywhere. The cafes, pubs, and especially the pie shops are all worth a visit. A must-see is Skipton Castle, which is in impeccable condition, though there are no medieval artifacts in the rooms. A handy self-tour information sheet is provided, although scheduled tours in the summer would have been a nice addition. Don’t miss the canal boats! We took a one-hour public cruise to emulate “Canal Boat Diaries.” Be sure to get tickets online early to secure a seat near the front. The Embsay & Bolton Steam Railway is also nearby, so seeing the train steam out of the station at the end of the day was a great nostalgic experience.

Hi. Their website says that service animals are allowed, which suggests that normal pets are not. I suggest you ring the operator for clarification on 01756 790829.

Hi, I am traveling alone to Skipton for a few days and would like to book this cruise. There appeared to be availability for two adults on Wednesday 26th August but it would not let me book for 1 adult. Is it not possible just to book one ticket? I will be alone and do not want to pay for two tickets, however, I would love to be able to go on the tour.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible, there are steps down into the boat. But there is an office right near to the departure and arrival, I'm sure they could look after the wheelchair if asked to. Hope this helps.

The boat is accessible by some steps, but they are quite narrow, although staff very good, so if you are quite agile I would recommend, drinks are brought to you. It is very pleasant experience.
