This is a beautiful area and the hike goes to some stunning locations. The guide was amazing, informative and personable. It is easy to get there from Dublin on the Dart train, I think about 30 minutes and 5 euros, and a great day trip. It was my favorite part of my visit to Dublin

We had a beautiful hike with Dee. I was visiting Dublin for a few days and wanted to see something of the countryside. Howth is a quick 30 minute train ride from Dublin. This tour was perfect. The scenery was gorgeous and the hike was invigorating but fairly easy (but it’s 3 hours so you do need good walking shoes and to be in fairly good shape). Dee was a great, lively tour guide - I learned a lot about Irish history and the plants and animals in the area and she added in a few ghost stories as it was Halloween! The tour was everything I wanted. Many thanks!!

The tour was fun and informative for sure. The guide communicated well before during and after the tour. The small group format allowed for a great experience exploring Howth and learning all about its history. We enjoyed the walking tour and all of Dee’s knowledge made the 5+ miles walk seem effortless

Can’t say enough how wonderful our guilds was, Dee was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a bit touch and go to get to the meeting point due to the Dublin marathon stopping all the train, but Dee very helpfully gave advise to get me there. Throughout the hike there was stories and information a plenty, and the added bonus of pictures chronicling our journey. Was an awesome day with amazing views of the whole island. Was a great craic! 🤩

Excellent hike with Zac and Loki! The views were spectacular and the town of Howth so special. Zac was a wonderful caring guide and Loki was a great extra guide and treat.

Beautiful weather on a Thursday in October. Dee was our amazing guide and hostess! She provided great stories and history. Beautiful landscape and gorgeous views that get better and better as the hike progresses. FYI - you need to be somewhat fit for this long hike. Highly recommend if you are!

Had a great cliff walk hike with Sean. He was super friendly, informative, and inclusive of the group! Had great stories that made for a wonderful hike.

Sean was the best guide! Very passionate and knowledgeable. Really loved getting to know more of Howth’s history and seeing how beautiful the area is, thank you Sean! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide and group to go with!

We had a wonderful walkabout the Howth Peninsula with Sean. Loved the hike, the views, and most of all, our guide. Great history and stories. The hike was just over 5 miles, more climbing than we realized, but Sean took great care in pacing the walk for everyone in our small group. It was a gray day, and we considered maybe skipping...we are so glad we went because it was spectacular. Worth every step and every breath of fresh air.

When the info states "admission not included" does that mean there is not time to explore those attractions?

Hi Rebecca, there is plenty of time to explore the attractions and take photos. We do not visit the interior of Howth Castle on the Coastal Walk on Chowder Trail but visit the grounds and beautiful surroundings.
