Every stop was great, but my personal favorite was Akaka Falls. I was pleasantly surprised by the last stop at the coffee plantation- so much better and different than any other place of this kind. Last but not least, Katie, our guide was a star - 100% pro prepared for every question and situation. Thank you, Katie!

Just came home from my 12 hour tour around the big island.Zac was the guide and the best guide my husband and I have ever had. The tour was high end with everything from lavender scented hot towels, raincoats and umbrellas if needed, delicious bkfst and lunch and perfect timing on all the stops. Zac was full of information on sand color, wild animal background, lesson on Hawaiian pronunciation and on and on. Volcano history and eruption info, lava fields, plant life and coffee beans were other topics discussed. Kailani Tours did it right! Didn’t miss a beat even if you needed to charge your cell.Worth every penny.

Katie was amazing! So much information about the Island History! From the landscape and volcanoes to the people and descendants and recommendations of beaches and restaurants! So many points of interest were covered that we wouldn’t have known about. Such an amazing day. She was so attentive to our group of 8 people. Got snacks water and lunch! Highly recommend taking this tour. Such a great memory. Mahalo Katie! 🏝️

This tour is highly recommended. Special thanks for Katie who made our day become a great trip in Kona. She took care of us very well. She is knowledgeable and informative we can assure that you can see volcanos up close and finished the day with precious memory.

We had a wonderful experience! Katie is very knowledgeable and provided a nice balance of history and cultural richness of Hawaii's beauty. The day was full but my children were able to stay engaged, and we all enjoyed it's immensely. The courtesy IPAD was a plus as well. Due to beach closing we were not able to go to black beach was disappointing, in lieu our guide took us to an overlook area to watch huge waves. The kids really wanted to have the beach experience, as did I. However at the close of the day we watched in wonder the glowing lava, starry skies was all breathtaking.

Katie was excellent. Balanced history of island narrative with stories of current and personal events. Was very enjoyable and would do again. We saw more than expected and ate well along the way.

Currently staying close to Hilo. I accidentally booked accommodation in Waimea . On the north island. Good to know state many place names are the same on different islands when booking through Booking etx. We caught a Free bus 80 from kona airport to Hilo. free! 3 hrs of amazing scenery! Comfortable . We are using the Hele On public buses. They travel all over big island and are about $2US or free atm . Dont spend hundreds on a tour! Of to volcanoes Monday for $2 from Holo!

We had a wonderful time. Katie was an excellent tour guide and we learned a lot. The only issue I would say is that I am diabetic, and after the meals I got home that night and my blood sugar was 61. You might want to make the meals a little more filling, my girlfriend’s sandwich was about half the size of everyone else’s. Other than that, the tour was first rate.

I booked this tour by myself without knowing anybody. Bryce and the other people of the group made this week to an amazing adventure. I loved that I could ask any question and he always explained it even if I didn’t understand it in the first place. He has a lot of knowledge about the island. Thanks for a great week.
